I enjoyed the hell out of Blade Kitten, it was like Strider but super-cute. I have no idea why it got bashed in reviews. I actually saw people complaining about the length... of a $10 2D retro platformer? How long do you expect it to be?! Steam lists my own playtime at 9 hours, sounds pretty good to me. But yeah, very fun game and platformer fans should pick it up. That link is to my user recommendation on Steam.

They should reboot him and set it during the peroid in which Tasmanian tigers were wiped out. Make it R rated and have him throw boomerangs into poacher skulls.

Well that's a pleasant surprise. I liked the original games. They had a very cool and unique style to them. But I thought Krome was dead. Didn't they go bust? I hope this is a proper console game like the originals.
I had a good time with Taz on the PS2, and I've been hoping to see it again on PS3. I'll cry if they turn it into an iOS game.
Enjoyed Blade Kitten Ep1. The ending left me wanting more. Episode 2 has been complete forever and is collecting dust (more than likely never seeing the light of day) in some vault, all thanks to Atari.
And so the sorting hat was placed upon Ty's head. It sensed that Ty was practically irrelevant in the gaming market and likely not popular enough to justify a console release. Ty, sensing this, repeated to himself "Not iOS, not iOS..."

Only ever played the first Ty game. And while it's a very fond childhood memory, the game is mediocre as hell now. The characters are done well, but the gameplay and pretty much everything else is super duper mediocre.
Like literally no difficulty at all (beyond the one or two times I'd mess up on a jump.. but even then, I just walked back up) and the boss battle I had bothered to play through was very messy and uninteresting.

I remember renting these games, but I wasn't aware Ty was some sort of beloved platforming icon. Oh wait, he's not. There's really no demand for this, which makes it a 90% chance of being an iOS game. Either that, or something stupid like "throw boomerangs with Kinect".

It'll be a star earning physics based puzzle/castle defense game with flash graphics where you throw boomerangs at enemies that slowly march onto the screen.
Even Racket and Clank isn't safe; they're turning it into a tower defense game.

I never got round to playing Ty back in the PS2 days... is it worth a buy? I've watched videos and so forth, it looks neat (despite the "g'day bonza mate shrimp on the barbie" attempts at Australiana).
Can't help but feel that this is going to be a mobile game.
