A new Grand Theft Auto IV title update hits, fixes things photo

A mandatory -- unless you live in the Stone Age and don’t have the Internet (how are you reading this?) -- title update for Grand Theft Auto IV has passed Microsoft certification and is available right meow. Get ready for the beautiful "update" prompt-screen for the next time you boot up the title.

It’s a simple patch that addresses two key issues present in the title’s multiplayer component: invisible characters and a--holes cheaters. Apparently, there was some sort of bug that allowed people to become Kevin Bacon during matches. The cheat code thing, we weren’t even aware of. Rockstar doesn’t elaborate on its official blog, but it's stated that somehow, people managed to use a cheat code exploit in the component.

If those two things got you down, it’s time to pick up that chin and head back in. "The Ballad of Gay Tony" is hitting quite soon, so sharpen those skills.

Why would you NOT wanna be Kevin Bacon?! Other than the times when he's making music with his brother.

What do you mean fix the driving? The driving is one of the best parts of GTA 4. It handles so perfectly if you know what your doing, and it has a learning curve unlike most games. Cars aren't supposed to make 90 degree turns like they do in Saints Row, not that there is anything wrong with Saints Rows driving, its just that unrealistic driving doesn't fit in with GTA 4s setting.

I love Destructoid, it is one of my favourite sources for videogame news, but some of these comments are just... wrong. Everytime I´ve read through an article theres a 80% chance of a comment like

- I don´t like the driving, I suck at games

- Fix the multiplayer, I lose all the time

- I haven´t played this game yet, too bad it came out 12 months ago

- I´m waiting for the PC version, cause it´s obviously better

- I like complaining about games I haven´t even touched

- I complain about a game I played for roughly 30 minutes.

- It sucks cause it´s not out on my console

- It has to suck because it´s a non PC game

etc.

Seriously, cut it out. It really drives me nuts sometimes. I wish there was an option to just disable the display of comments.

Hey Bashius - you don't have to read the comments. They are below the article. Just.... don't scroll down too far and you'll avoid all of them.

@Bashius

Seriously? Its the internets and we all know that the magic of the wonderweb turns us into racists and arseholes but pop on over to gametrailers and have a wee read at the comments on any post. Back now? Good I'am willing to accept cold hard cash as a apology.

I thought they were going to patch the issue that made the DLC freeze periodically if you weren't connected to XBL.

I do think Dtoid would benefit from a Joystiq style downvote greying out(but not the Kotaku-like mass grey with a few "approved" highlight, that's stupid)

The modern burberry watches replicas
comes housed in a black plastic case with stainless steel lugs at each side. The black
wristband is nicely crafted from leather, and in case you plan on banging your new watch
around a bit, the display is protected by a durable, scratch-resistant mineral crystal
face.
