I can guarantee this project mentioned isn't Verses. Furthermore if this isn't some spin-off that nobody cares about... it will be FF13-3... and it will be ugly. I'm still not convinced that Verses is not cancelled.
Im not surprised with this happening considering the end of XIII-2 and I okay with it this going. As Long as I don't hear about it for 6 years and we get the other dozen of games square has shown off first before this. I'm tired of nothing but announcements from them and no product until I just stop caring about the game a forget.
Assholes! "let's work on every other game but XIII Versus", at this rate we'll get a FFVII remake before we get Versus.....
Can't wait for this game. It's going to sick. The first true FF trilogy. I'm expecting a very, very interesting conclusion.

@Shinta: If they ignored all the people bitching, then why did they add non-linear dungeons, sidequests, NPCs and towns in FFXIII-2? Wasn't FFXIII's linear maps not a recipe for success? Also, do you really enjoy the story and find the characters have depth and are likable? I'm sorry, but you have bad taste and I'm not taking any recommendations from you. No one is telling me to shut the fuck up. If I have an opinion, I'm going to express it.
@King Chrono He wasn't talking just to you. All those things they added to FFXIII-2 are things that are normally in a SquareEnix game. You need to take a couple days off the internet.
Thank you Square for confirming that I will never be invested in your games again. It's hard to disagree that games from the east suck when their largest publisher is pushing out dull, unimaginative tripe like this.
@Sean Payne: It seems to me that they were only added because people complained about the lack of freedom and variety from FFXIII. Otherwise, why weren't they in the first game?

I liked FF13-2. I thought is was different and I praise Square for that.
I will never understand why people ride the hype train for a new FF title and then when it comes out; surprise surprise!, its soooo different from what you know and therefore its not a good RPG.
