YouTuber ArachnidianDream arranged and choreographed this awesome little musical performance (after the jump) called "Stop Playing Homework and Do Your Video Games." He and his friends dressed up as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Ash Ketchum and Link, and played the themes from various videogames. Along with the concert are some background performers doing some Pong and Tetris to go with the music.
The performance is rather splendid, especially the Kirby cover. I never realized how wonderful the Kirby theme sounds when done like this! You can get full details on the performance over on ArachnidianDream’s YouTube page. He also teases his next video, which is going to be a Pokemon meets 24 radio drama. That sounds pretty awesome!
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Meet the rest of the team
All I could think about at the Tetris part was the Brentalfloss video of Tetris with lyrics. And the Pong and Pokemon parts were the best in my opinion. The Super Mario Bros. part sounded too busy to me.
If you truly enjoyed the song they played from kirby then you should hear New Japans Philharmonic's rendition. It's the theme from the fountain of dreams.
@runtheplacered No, but if your going to do something that has been done not only once but from what Ive seen 10 times,at least do something new. Something tells me you pay to see cover bands. Also, I wasnt dissing the band itself, I thought they were great. Im just not sure why videos like this get posted when they arent doing anything especially new. dick
Before i started the video, i was thinking 'damn, that's gonna' be lameee'
I've watched the all of it. I am so fucking impressed.
MOAR OF THIS.
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR
And great performance over the Halo theme - this is how it should be done.
This makes me almost crying because of waiting for the Video Games Live in my country .
This is really cool, but I almost wish people didn't have to do stuff like walk around with props. I guess I get annoyed when the crowd laughs and applauds. Maybe that's just be being distracted by the crown noise and wanting to appreciate the music.
Wow I had no idea so many people hated Halo's music...
And here I was thinking it was the best original music I've ever heard in a video game...
And that Marty O'Donnell is a great composer who deserves every bit of credit he gets...
And that Halo is a perfectly good franchise...

So something can only ever be done once? That's a lame world you live in.
Pay to see cover bands? Uhhh... wha? Can I ignore this part? It was a pretty big swing and a miss.
But anyway, Cool! You thought they were great! Hi-5! Me too.
So why was the video being posted? Because they were great.... like you said. I mean, right? Do we want to post things that aren't great?
cock.
Bravo!
I would give them 5 out of 5 starts.
I've watched the all of it. I am so fucking impressed.

The Halo bit where they mocked the Halo chanting was hilarious.
That was epic.
