A look at EDF: Insect Armageddon's creepy crawlers
Lead game designer Jim Richardson has posted new details about the enemies of Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, as well as provided some backstory for those damn dirty Ravagers. Earth Defense Force 2017 was a game in which I shot down all buildings on sight (because they were going to be destroyed anyway) and fired missiles into fellow squads (because they were going to die anyway). As such, it's funny to read about serous topics like "genetic seeding techniques" and "the Great Culling." Turns out there are more insects than I was anticipating. (It is, after all, called Insect Armageddon.) The ticks look devilish, but after an incident this weekend where a swarm of ants consumed my office, I'm ready to go after EDF's classic black ants more than anything else. Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Mna, so happy the EDF series is seeing another release. The last one was some of the most fun I've had this gen. Nothing in most of the "AAA" games this gen can compare to running down a street and coming to realize you're running headlong into 30+ giant ants.
EDF: king of the middle class of gaming, AFAIK. I never played the first game so I'm excited to give this a try. My fear of bugs might turn this into a horror game:( I don't need no fancy history lesson. Just show me their weak spot *cocks pump shotgun with one hand*
