HNNNGHHHH!

Wow Nintendo! Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo America, at the last possible moment swooped in during today's Nintendo Direct and announced a brand new title for the Nintendo 3DS: a brand new 3DS Zelda game!

It's based on my personal favorite Zelda game, A Link to the Past, and will feature an original storyline and entirely new dungeons. Link can also become a drawing and slip onto walls, Paper Mario style, and it'll utilize the portable's 3D effects to the fullest potential. It looks to be a sequel.

This new game doesn't have a proper name yet, but we'll provide info as soon as it becomes available. This must be that project Nintendo mentioned in 2011.

One Zelda down -- Wii U to go!

Remember when Chris Carter reviewed A Link Between Worlds? I don't see that part of history in this painting, but this painting by DeviantArt's EternaLegend is still pretty cool. Liking that Ganon.

I'm just giving you a hard time, Chris. I always stand behind our team's reviews, and I'm not concerned with what the other sites have said. But I love The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds so much. It's so good! Consider this hazing for your new job role. Tee hee hee.

In recent years, Zelda games have gotten a tad too flowery. What was once a true open world adventure involving a hero thrown into the great unknown with the ability to explore to his heart's content, has become something els...

At some point, there will be an HD Zelda game and, for our sake, I hope it does away with the constant hand-holding and extended intros that were present in Skyward Sword, among other games. Right now, none of us have any idea what Nintendo has planned for the next coming of Zelda on the Wii U, but one thing's for sure -- I hope it looks to A Link Between Worlds for guidance.
