Eeeexactly. I wasn't saying that they weren't good, I was saying that people seem to love shouting "SAWNICK IS BACK!!!" when he's been back for a few years already. :/
Not only that, but I can run BF3 smoothly on ultra, but of I dare have reflections turned on, it judders one hell of a lot.

Not to discredit your claims. I won't argue the game is perfect for everyone or that your issues don't exist but just for the sake of input and people looking for opinions on the port, I've had the opposite experience.
So far I've cleared all the stages and not one crash. The game is beautiful at 1080p running at a nearly constant 60 fps with some minor minor instances of slow downs in chemical plant. 360 controller input is great. This is a top notch port in my opinion. I haven't been this impressed since the Devil May Cry 4 port capcom did a while ago.
PC would be my choice platform for this game if only for the 60 fps (Consoles are capped at 30 fps) and the one I'd recommend to others. The only thing I'd caution people on is system specs. I am running it on a new rig I made for BF3 so my experience may not line up with that of everyone. (i7-2600k, 560 Ti GTX). I can't attest to how it runs on older systems.
4 isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
Colours is awesome.
Advance 1, 2 and 3 are great.
Rush and Rush Adventure are also great.
Then you look at the collection of Heroes, Unleashed, Secret Rings, Black Knight and Rivals 1 and 2, all of these games were meh-decent. Some had mechanics that shouldn't have been included (Werehog, Swordplay) but weren't game ruining and others were just poorly executed (3 character teams, fixed camera, rival battles) but they weren't truly terrible.
Shadow the Hedgehog was also an alright game but probably shouldn't have released under the Sonic branding.
The only TRULY terrible game was 2006. Sure Sonic has had his problems but the hate is so blown out of proportion, I don't think he's ever really left.
I know there has been a bug or two. I've encountered two myself, but only one random crash. I think I went so fast I clipped through the ground and went into the underworld before the game crashed.
The main common problem I see are the random frame drops at certain points in the game. I've had these myself but other than that, the port doesn't seem as sloppy as the DCC was. My main gripe is how I can't play the game on my HDTV at 60fps, it only lets me run it at 30fps. I want my 60fps on my TV damnit!
Running the game on a 450GTS, runs beautifully at 99.5% of the time.
It could be something more fundemental though, as I have noticed that a 28mb patch is being downloaded every time I exit the game.
