When was the last time you watched a game trailer and smiled from the sheer joy of it all. Been a while, right? Well, go ahead and check out the "launch" trailer for A Boy and His Blob from WayForward and be prepared to smile like you're five and you just got one of those Ninja Turtle popcicles witht he bubble gum eyes from the ice cream truck. The game doesn't actually launch until October, but we're fine with being reminded of just how impressive the Wii platformer looks.
In case you hadn't noticed we've spent plenty of time with the game, and from that time with it we can tell you that... awwwww, look at them hug. Oh sorry, I'm easily distracted by adorable. Seriously, puppies are a major issue in my everyday life. Where was I? Right, we've got some time with A Boy and His Blob and we've really... and he's bouncing on the boy's belly! So precious!
Damn it! Sorry, won't happen aga... look at all the other blobs! They're all adorable! Ahhh, screw it. I'm going to go find some puppies to hug and kittens to play with.

Okay, so someone tell me... Was the original game as cool as this game looks? This looks like one of the most amazing platformers that I've seen recently. Was the original NES game fun, too?

I'm sorry, you're right. I lied when I said this is the first Wii game that interests me, I should have mentioned that Boom Blox really appeals to me as well.
But seriously, the Wii is selling in obscene amounts, the DS is selling even more. Nintendo is doing better this generation than Sony and Microsoft combined, and Nintendo fans seem to be pretty happy with their consoles from what I've seen. So tell me, please tell me, at a time when Nintendo fans have so much to be happy about, why do you feel the need to instruct me in the kind of games I should be interested in? Is it just too difficult for you to live in a world where different gamers have different tastes and prefer different consoles? The fact that I personally don't enjoy the games you listed doesn't make them any less enjoyable for you, or for the millions of other people who love them.
Or at least post it on youtube as well. I reinstalled my flash 4 times now, still doesn't work, and I'm not alone in this.
