A better look at the new Street Fighter IV fighter El Fuerte photo

Famitsu stole my thunder earlier in the week with the reveal of the new Street Fighter IV fighter but at least I can still bring you this high quality picture. He is known as El Fuerte and his fighting style  is based obviously on the Lucha Libre brand of wrestling. Here's a video to Lucha Libre in action ... with midgets.

Not much else is given about the new fighter except, oddly enough, that he likes to cook. He likes to divide his professional life between wrestling and gourmet cooking. He apparently sucks at cooking though.

Check out the hi-res of El Fuerte in the gallery.

This guy still excites me none, unless his victory pose is strumming a folding chair like a guitar.

I was thinking that he didn't really fit in with the previous characters, but street fighter has really had a strange array, so I guess he does fit in. El Fuerte is cool with me.

He looks like Ryu in a mask and weird clothes.

What he needs is a little rat under his mask to do the cooking for him. Just a thought, El Fuerte.

dude, wasn't it cool when they showed this? It was hella cool.

The funny thing is, his mask looks like echo the dolphin. You know, with the stars.

Why didn't they just use an improved Mika? It's as if they're ignoring all games after SFII Turbo....

Yes, yes his mask is 100& ecco-dolphin-ish... Um, but has anyone noticed the fact the larger picture is somewhat NSFW-ish.. I mean, with the slight-huge-yellow-banana-bulge.. Err.. Blech! Nevermind! I, uh, guess he likes his bright yellow sash.. My mind needs a thorough cleaning now! ROFL

floyd mayweather like fast boxer would have been better than lucha, but like all fighting game characters you dont know if you like them until you play them. looks like i will still be practicing my balrog rush tho

I would have rather had R. Mika in the game...but instead we get lucha libre.

Still... no.

Also, they could totally bring him in if they made a new SNS instead.

So is this El Toro Fuerte from the Jackie Chan Adventures or not?

my guess is that he will be much quicker than zangief because that suits his wrestling style, though probably his grapples will have less damage.

Too bad he's not going to look anything like that in the game. I wish he was an unlockable on SFII: HD Remix instead of being done in that awkward 3D.

I need to see 3D animations of him before I decide.

I didn't like C.Viper until I saw her in motion. Simply awesome!
