Interview: Talking safety cars and clouds for F1 2011

Interview: Codemaster's Bodycount returns from obscurity

At last year's E3, Codemasters announced their new shooter Bodycount. However, since its big unveiling, the game's hardly been seen or heard from until it appeared at Namco Bandai's Level UP event. I interviewed Ga...

Interview: Katsuhiro Harada talks new Tekken CG Film

One of the biggest pieces of news at Level Up was the announcement of a new Tekken -- not a game, but a new CG Tekken Film: Tekken Blood Vengence. While many of you may remember the live action Tekken film, Katsuhi...

Interview: Kei Hirono talks masochism for Dark Souls

My interview with Kei Hirono; producer for Namco Bandai games, was one of my most anticipated at Level Up in Dubai as I am madly in love with the masochistic Demon Souls, which finally saw a European release in 2010. Kei Hir...

Interview with Joonas Laakso for Ridge Racer Unbounded

Honest to God I had to try so hard to stop myself from shouting "RIIIIIDDDDGGGEEEE RACCCCCCEEERRR" during this interview, and that is probably a good thing too, as Ridge Racer Unbounded is an all-new take on a series wh...

Interview with Hisaharu Tago on SoulCalibur V

I think it is pretty fair to say that the large majority of those attending the Level Up event had put money on SoulCalibur V finally being announced and they weren't disappointed. The latest installment will be set 17 ...

Namco Bandai's Level Up event over, here's what to expect photo
Namco Bandai's Level Up event over, here's what to expect
by Hollie Bennett

Well I have returned from Dubai and Namco Bandai's Level Up event and what an event it was; we saw some exciting news, some welcome news and some stuff that was just a bit odd. While I no longer have my privet villa, my butler, wild parties and unlimited drinks I can still say that there is plenty of exciting stuff to come your way throughout the week. You can see my interviews for the shock announcement of Tekken Blood Vengeance and I try to get as much information about Soul Calibur V as humanly possible. I also talk gravity with Inversion, we chat about the all new take on Ridge Racer, discuss the new Ace Combat game and of course I ask just how hard Dark Souls is going to be.

For those who miss out we have a nice round up of all the news that dropped, you can check out the gallery below or go to the Flickr for some amazing photos and the above video to show off the opulence of the event.

A big thanks to Daniel Carneiro, a Dtoid member and my amazing cameraman for all of his work.
