So much for trying to stay up-to-date.
An inFAMOUS 2 video was promised to the YouTube audience, I dunno, about half a year ago. Hard to believe...that they would continue to care after that long. The part about about w...

Vampires are everywhere, even in your inFamous. At Sony's gamescom press conference inFamous 2: Festival of Blood was announced. In this game our hero Cole has been bitten and infected, and only has one night to find and kill the vampire that attacked him. Sony promises new characters, new enemies, "hours of gameplay," and a look at the darker side of the inFamous universe.
We know nothing else about this title other than it will be a PlayStation Network download.
How's inFAMOUS 2 been going on the user-generated-content front? I honestly couldn't say! But the first of many UGC updates to come is free, and it's hopefully going to keep mission makers interested enough to stay with it.
The update -- which is available now from PlayStation Network -- gives creators cars from single-player to tinker with: Bertrand’s Limo, Bertrand’s Semi-Truck, the New Marais Police Car, the Ambulance, and a bike. I can already picture an amazing Punch-Out!! mission.
And if vehicles aren't necessarily your thing, UGC search functionality from the pause menu has been added.
Yesterday it was announced that Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet 2 would get some Final Fantasy VII treatments. That sounds like a fun idea until you actually see them. Gah! Aeris/Aerith looks so derpy that I can't look at the ab...
In 2009, Sucker Punch answered a few questions I had been asking myself for years. What would happen if Sly Cooper had a messenger bag and a Misfits of Science-like ability to channel lightning through his hands? What if Bentley was an unsuccessful womanizer with a pompadour? Would the design sensibilities of a series so revered properly translate into an open-world action game?
Those answers came in the form of the original inFAMOUS, and despite both deserved and undeserved criticism the game performed well. As a super-hero origin story that was clearly conceived as the beginning of a new franchise, it delivered on many fronts while leaving a number of new questions in my mind. For example, would a sequel really make the player feel as if Cole McGrath had grown in power and depth?
Thankfully, for Cole and for us, the answer is yes.
