Today is a fairly sweet day for Nintendo fans, as two heavy-hitters are set to hit the eShop. You can grab Fractured Soul (eShop, $11.99), which is a pretty neat looking platformer that's played on two screens at once (whoa.....

18th Gate is a hex-based SRPG that boasts a decent amount of content for a DSiWare game. You can play as multiple heroes, trek through 18 areas, and encounter randomized enemies and traps. The game is currently appr...

Ok, so I'm not being completely upfront here: this Nintendo Download has nothing to do with Disney's Jafar (one "f!"), the evil vizier from what may be the best animated film of all time. This week actually features Jaffar, t...

Another week of Nintendo Download is upon us, and it has animals galore. The eShop is a tad uninteresting this week, as you can either get SpeedX3D (eShop, $3.99) or Outdoors Unleashed: Africa 3D ($3.99). SpeedX 3D has be...

This time around, on your weekly fix of Nintendo downloads, there's just one game per Nintendo system. Yep, that's one game to rule each platform, and in the darkness of a measly week of downloads, bind them. One of your&...

On August 19, New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be available to purchase both in brick-and-mortar stores and on the eShop. If you plan on downloading the game, I ask that you exercise extreme caution. Check for discounts of physic...

I'm hijacking the Nintendo Download from Chris this week because, dammit, you are all in danger! Commando: Steel Disaster ($7.99 on DSi or 3DS) may look like a fairly inoffensive Metal Slug clone, but don't be fooled! I play...

I'm not going to sugar-coat it -- this week isn't very exciting in terms of Nintendo downloads (you should be playing Kingdom Hearts 3D, right?). This week, 3D Solitaire (3DS eShop, $2.99), and Lost Town -- The...

Yes, Nintendo DSi, and not 3DS or even DSi XL. Just DSi. New colors. For some reason. Out of nowhere, Nintendo of America dropped a TwitPic on their Twitter feed showing of the upcoming Matte Red and Matte Blue DSi systems hi...

The Wario series is probably one of the most critically acclaimed franchises of all time. Pretty much all of his games are widely loved, from Wario's Woods all the way up to his offbeat WarioWare games. Today, Wario Land: Sup...

Are you ready for today's Nintendo Download offerings? Of course you aren't -- no one ever is! For the 3DS eShop there's Order Up!! ($9.99), a food puzzle game that already exists on the iPhone for free, and Slitherlink ($4.9...

This week's Nintendo download content is bursting at the seams with things that you may or may not actually want. For example, there's some retro goodness à la old school Rayman astride this week's obligatory insipid p...

This video is pretty ancient, and has since been followed up by many more topical entries in the ongoing life of the DS console. Still, I had to post this one first, because it's the best. It's tough to say anything else without ruining some of the fun. In fact, I'm worried I've already said to much. So please enjoy this thing!

Jason Rohrer, indie developer known for Passage and the narrative playground, Sleep is Death, has created a Kickstarter campaign of a rather different sort for his long-awaited Nintendo DS title Diamond Trust of Lo...

There's some new pricing for Nintendo's older handhelds. Starting May 20, the DSi XL will retail for $129.99, and it's smaller screened little brother, the standard DSi, will go for $99.99. Both will still be packed with Flip...

From the makers of 99Bullets, the DSiWare shoot-em-up which limits the amount of ammunition the player has, comes 99Seconds. As you can see in the trailer above, 99Seconds is a game of object avoidance and survival in which the player's movement accelerates until colliding with an object and the goal is to last as long a possible. Looks like another fun, simple game for DSiWare. Neato.
