Welcome to another exciting edition of Dtoid's Friday Night Fights!
Have you played Rise of the Triad yet? You should. It's awesome. It's everything an HD remake should be and then some, and I haven't had this much mindless fun since the '90s. Don't believe me? Why not see for yourself! We're giving away some Steam codes right here, right now!
That's right, our buddies at Interceptor Entertainment have given us eight codes for their remake of the Apogee classic to hand out to the Dtoid community, and all you have to do to win is leave a comment below telling me how excited you are to play it! Limit one entry per person, and the drawing will take place just before 11 PM Pacific tonight. (Hey, that's just in time to join in my FNF match!)
Good luck! Oh, and go sign up to be on our new FNF banner if you haven't already. Only one week left!
[Update: Contest over! Winners are Rackdar, ooktar, and Albatross!]
To help celebrate the impending launch of their badass brawler Charlie Murder, our friends at Ska Studios have given us three four-day passes to PAX Prime to hand out to the Destructoid community!
For a chance at one of these highly sought after badges, you need to create your own fictional band for the Charlie Murder-verse. Think up a cool name for the band, pick a style, tell us the band members' names and instruments, and give us the title of their first hit single. Here's an example:
Band name: Randy and the Banana Hammocks
Genre: Southern Gospel
Lead vocals - Randy Manload
Lead guitar - Joe "Posh Spice" Nastybottom
Rhythm guitar - Slug
Bass, backing vocals - Dick Cheney
Drums - Occams Electric Toothbrush
Hit single: "Please Get Your Dog Out Of My Mailbox (I Love You, Jesus)"
You get the idea. You have until next Friday, August 2 at 11:59 PM Pacific to enter, and the contest is open to anyone who can make the trek to Seattle this Labor Day weekend. (Contest does not cover travel expenses.) Limit one entry per person.
The game revolves around Sphynx, a temple cat guardian, losing her nine feline lives to Casey, a bumbling museum security guard. So for a chance at one of these awesome prizes, I want you to leave a comment telling us what you would do with each of your lives if you had nine of them. Limit one entry per person, and the contest is open to anyone with a US mailing address.
You have until this Sunday, August 4 at 11:59 PM Pacific to enter. Good luck! A breakdown of the prizes is below.
To win, you need to prove to us why you're worthy of receiving such a glorious gift. Write a community blog professing your adoration for the series, record a video of yourself singing a Shin Megami Tensei love song, draw a picture, write a poem -- you get the idea. What you do is up to you, but it's gotta be good. This is not a random drawing!
Once you've created your tribute, post a link to it in the comments below for judgement. You have until this Friday, July 19 at 11:59 PM Pacific to enter, and the contest is open to anyone with a U.S. or Canadian mailing address. Good luck!

During E3 I was lucky enough to hang out with Loot Crate, a service that sends you a gamer-and-geek themed assortment of candy, toys, stickers, clothing, and other goods for about $20 a month. They've been doing this for less than a year and already have 8,000+ members. Congratulations to founders Chris and Matthew, and may you see continued success.
Oh yeah, and they gave us five of their awesome Loot Crates to give away. Want one?
How to Win a Loot Crate: Simply post a comment stating "Gimme a Loot Crate!" (or something like that, feel free to get creative) and you're entered to win. We'll update this post this Friday with the random winners. Please note that Loot Crate only ships to North America, so International dudes will have to wait until they conquer the world. Good luck! To buy your own do this thing.
Disclosure: Destructoid is not financially compensated in any way for this referral, I just dig it.
