NYCC: X-MEN Arcade welcomes you to die on PSN/XBLA soon! photo
NYCC: X-MEN Arcade welcomes you to die on PSN/XBLA soon!
by Jim Sterling

Konami (not Capcom, my fail) has announced that the classic X-Men Arcade, complete with cheesy music and bad translation, will be heading to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network soon. No details have yet been announced concerning price or release date, but we shouldn't have to wait long for a release.

X-Men Arcade is a beloved six-player beat 'em up that is most famous for its unintentional hilarious dialog, at least to me. I still shout "WELCOME TO DIE" in honor of Magneto whenever I get a spare moment of remembrance, and so should you.

What awesome news this is!

Oh hai The Room tribute! You are my favorite Flash game!

A lot of cool stuff was at PAX -- there were a bunch of great developers showing off some fantastic games. It turns out, however, that the best thing to happen during the PAX weekend wasn't even at PAX at all! The Friday PAX ...

Best news of today: No more cake jokes in Portal 2

If you are anything like Dale North or myself, your day is about to be made. You see, we share a deep hatred for those tired Portal jokes involving cake, being "Still Alive," and everything in-between. Even worse are the peop...

Robot Unicorn Attack galloping onto the iPhone

The ever lovable Jordan Devore discovered the other day that Adult Swim used a quote of his for the TV ad for Give Up, Robot. After seeing the ad, I decided to check out the game and to finally play Robot Unicorn Attack. Yea...

UI update makes Steam even more awesome

Love Steam? I do, and I'm sure a fair amount of PC gamers do to. Which makes hearing about how a good thing is getting better pretty great news. That's pretty much what's happening with Steam's new UI makeover. What Valve's c...

TANK POWER! World of Tanks will tank-rush the MMO scene

Newcomers to Massively Multiplayer games, especially fantasy-themed titles, are usually quite disappointed when they ask for a "Tank" and receive some kind of burly man or orc in knight's armor who says his role is to "pull a...

Persona 3 Portable getting US release July 6th, 2010 photo
Persona 3 Portable getting US release July 6th, 2010
by Josh Tolentino

Dale told me that I could only write this post if I began with the following message:

"Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby! Ooooooh, yeah. Baby, baby!"

And there you go. Persona 3 Portable, the updated, portable-ized adaptation of Persona 3 for the PSP, has finally been announced by Atlus USA, dated for release on July 6th, 2010.

If I or fellow Persona and MegaTen fans have somehow been unable to bombard you with details regarding the game, just know this: you're getting way more than a straight port. Persona 3 Portable comes with an all-new storyline featuring a playable female protagonist, more Social Links, part-time jobs, combat features added from Persona 4, and a fully optimized, portable-friendly interface.

Hit the official website for more details, the gallery for screenshots and box art, or check below for the animated intro. I guess I really have to up and finish Persona PSP if I'm going to dig into this one in time.

No More Heroes 2 vids: Fat Kid Panty Kitty Party Edition

SPOILERS: Entire game of Sin and Punishment 2 on Youtube

2D shmups are back with a vengeance these days, while 3D shmup releases are at an all time low. For my money, the last truly great game in the genre was Panzer Dragoon Orta on the original Xbox. That's only if you don't count...
