Teaser

This is the kind of thing I like to find when I wake up in the morning. It's a teaser trailer for a 3D platformer, Poi, and watching it makes me think that there's a bold adventure just waiting out there for me to exper...
Starbreeze and filmmaker Josef Fares ended up making a great adventure game in Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons. As announced and teased at the Game Awards tonight, Fares is working on a new project under publisher Electronic Arts with a team called Hazelight. What is it? Hell if I know! The teaser showed two men riding in a train under the moonlight. Oh, I see.
PlayStation Experience takes place in Las Vegas in early December, and it's sure to have plenty of announcements and surprises. One of those is getting teased today with a rabbit hole of information (starting with this noteb...
Every time Telltale's Game of Thrones comes up, the prevailing comments are always the same: "When will we see what it looks like?" The answer to that question is "now," and the answer to the followup question is, "eh, it lo...
Peter Moorhead, the designer behind the striking but mostly negatively received pixel art point-and-click adventure game Stranded has released a teaser trailer for his next project, Murder. Moorhead describes the project as ...
Many of us dug United Front Games' open-world title Sleeping Dogs. A full-blown sequel was never announced, but the team's next project, Triad Wars, is set in the same universe. "[I]t's something we've wanted to do for ages,"...
Kojima's interactive teaser P.T., which we now know is the playable teaser for Silent Hills, was solved in half a day by curious players who persevered all the way to the end. But as Kojima himself revealed during today's pre...
It started with a bloody snowflake. Then there was a bloody hatchet. Now there's a bloody window and a scary man chopping something or someone. Apparently we'll be able to "watch horror reinvented on PS4" tomorrow at gamesco...
Trading in a bloody snowflake for a bloody axe, the second teaser trailer for something that PlayStation's going to talk about at gamescom tells us no more than the first one did. We still have our money on Until Dawn -- the teen horror game that vanished into the ether a few years ago. Hopefully it's not Lumberjack on a Frozen Pond Simulator.
The third teaser trailer in BioWare's "You've Been Chosen" campaign leading up to the reveal of (presumably) a new game, features a redhead in a pair of Converse that are too clean staring at some sort of impact site that le...
Although we haven't heard much of anything about Until Dawn these past couple years, it recently popped up on an alleged list of PlayStation games scheduled to appear at gamescom. Here it is again, potentially, in a short te...
This second live-action teaser for BioWare's next game isn't as good as the initial one, but I found it ever so mildly interesting. No "smokeface" this time, sadly. While we know the project is set for a gamescom reveal next...
BioWare sent emails to fans overnight that include a "Nightmare" teaser trailer for what appears to be a new intellectual property. The video is live action, so it's hard to say what this will be other than "Hey, the guy wit...
This teaser for Media Molecule's new PlayStation 4 project is curious. But first, here is the studio's explanation for what we're looking at (flashing light warning): "A rendering error on our new PS4 project caused this tri...
I sort of feel more like going on an Eritrean odyssey right now, but I'm settling for an Ethiopian jazz bar later in the week. Anyway, I scaled 10,000 meters of tree on this Atlus teaser site so you don't have to. Really, it's not that fun. The result was this Etrian Odyssey looking "Coming Soon" page. Whole tree background attached.
Oh, sweet Cyberdemon. It's been far too long since I danced with thee. And now you're looking so very...refreshed. You've had a facelift. Even though you're a little bit older than the last time we met, you're still just as ...
Whew. Sony's E3 press conference was a long one, but the PlayStation manufacturer capped it off with a huge announcement: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Over video of Nathan Drake lying facedown in mud, we can hear Drake and Su...
Sony is teasing a stream of something on the Twitch PlayStation page. Their blog post says that "the revolution will be televised..." and suggests that you might want to change your evening plans to see what they have in stor...
Shadow of the Colossus is one of the greatest games of all time, so citing it as a major influence brings a double meaning to "standing on the shoulders of giants." Adding Oddworld as another influence makes me very interest...
Less than a week ago I shared with you a silly teaser video from Compile Heart's new RPG brand, Galapagos. They've been teasing a game for some time, but all we've got so far is that it's not Fairy Fencer F 2 or Mugen Souls,...
Remember this weird ass video from Compile Heart's new RPG brand, Galapagos? They decided to push out another tease this morning in a new video, and they don't disappoint on weirdness or vagueness in it.  What are they ...
Compile Heart, the folks behind the Neptunia series of games,  tweeted a tease for an announcement for Wednesday, April 30 recently. They say that it will be an "intense" announcement, whatever that means.  Games ar...
Remember last week, when we mused on what a possible Arc System Works teaser featuring BloodRayne might be? Turns out it's just a Japanese release of WayForward's BloodRayne: Betrayal. Aw, shucks. I was hoping for something a...
"She who fights with monsters might take care lest she thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." That text and the name "BRCS" are the only clues you have for this new teaser site from Arc System Works. We'll know more in about seven days.  BloodRayne? Oh my!  Hmm: BloodRayne Continuum Shift? BoodRayne: Corgi Selfie?
FRACT OSC will be releasing next month and while we don't know exactly when it will be available for purchase just yet, we do know that the game will be playable on the show floor at PAX East, April 11-13, as part of th...
At first glance, Leave None Behind might not seem like an entirely new idea. It aims to be a puzzle platformer, featuring three characters with distinct abilities that the player can switch between in order to progress, a la...
A few days ago I was bemoaning the long wait between games coming through Steam's Greenlight service and actually being released. One title I've been waiting for is Ether One, the atmospheric, first-person puzzle game from W...
This is the latest teaser for an in-development space horror/adventure game, Caffeine, which will put the player into the role of a young boy who awakes on a seemingly abandoned "caffeine mining station." If that idea strike...
Watch this. It's a teaser for Trainfinity, a game developed in 48 hours during the Nordic Game Jam last week. A local cooperative multiplayer game, tracks run in three lanes from one player's tablet to the next while trains ...
Since I was a young boy, I've been fascinated with the works of M.C. Escher. I appreciate his tessellations from a mathematical standpoint, but I really love the drawings that abuse perspective to create impossible construct...
Gloops! Gloops! What a great name. They say it's a combination of global and loop. I like to keep it simple -- it rhymes with poop and sounds funny. Destiny-viii.jp is a new teaser page posted today. This co-production between mobile game publisher gloops and Square Enix is coming January 8, 2014. It's probably a mobile thing, right? Any ideas? Does the URL give you any clues?
The endlessly creepy Eldritch will receive a free expansion later this month entitled "Mountains of Madness," based upon an H.P. Lovecraft serial of similar name. The original story describes an Antarctic expedition which me...
I love crazy codes and weird puzzles like this. Thesurvivor2299.com popped up a couple of weeks ago, and it is commonly thought to be a teaser for the upcoming announcement of Fallout 4. The site has an ever-changing morse co...
As the release of the Xbox One approaches, the official launch trailer for Killer Instinct is out now, and it's teasing plans for the future. Much like their previous trailers, they showcase much of the existing content whil...
Teaser? Atlus? Persona 5? The company has some sort of announcement planned for November 24, 2013 and while a newly-discovered teaser page might be completely unrelated to the franchise or even that specific news item, whatever it may be, it's got my attention. The heartbeat is a nice tough. Any guesses? [Thanks, DV2 The Fox]
Break Burst sounds like an RPG. That's all I need to know. I look at this teaser site and see a crossed slash and a castle-y background and think role-playing game. Really, that's all I need. I really am that shallow.  If it's a new RPG IP I'll cry tears of joy. If it's a mobile thing I'll probably just cry.
A new Sega teaser site says that "The New Story Will Begin," but gives us little else to go on except for another update date, set for October 28. Some have noticed that PS Vita tags are in the site's HTML. So there's that. Dengeki says that we're looking at an action/simulation/card battle game here. There's also something up with the long string of digits in the site's URL. Any guesses?
I wasn't alone in thinking the teaser for Frictional Games' new project -- which may or may not be called SOMA -- showed real promise. It's not clear what the game itself will be like, but the universe it's centered around h...
When the studio behind the Penumbra games and Amnesia: The Dark Descent puts out a teaser website like this, I have to talk about it. If the above video and accompanying text -- which describes an unknown machine found durin...
P-CH.JP First this tweet, then the above linked webpage. Atlus. Persona team. Something going down on November 24, 2013. A whole bunch of Japanese cities listed. WHAT ARE THOSE BOXES?! WHY DO THEY WIGGLE? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?
