Sega is sailing onto Steam with sales this sweekend. On this page you'll find a general list of things on sale. It is deceptive because a $2.50 Jet Set Radio or a $6.80 Valkyria Chronicles share as much screen space as the "S...

Evolve turns $40 tricks on Amazon

Psst. Hey, kid. No, not you; go back to licking the wall. I'm talking to your cool friend. The one that doesn't eat paint chips. You look like the sort of dude that likes videogames -- maybe asymmetric multiplayer ones. But, ...

Amazon has a bundled plethora of Xbox One family games at a cheap price

Amazon's really been trying hard lately to get its digital videogames storefront to take off. There's stiff competition out there, as the likes of Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation all handle digital distribution fairly well. And,...

Xbox has another Ultimate Game Sale up its sleeve

There's a tiny niche audience of consumers that love both buying things and doing it at a discount. Seriously, just the smallest sliver on a Venn diagram. Still, Microsoft's doing its best to cater to that sub-section with an...

Visit the steep mountains of Far Cry 4 at a steep discount

Plane tickets are expensive. If you want to go check out the Himalayas, you're looking at several thousand dollars. "In this economy?!," Steven might scoff. A more affordable route to world tourism is through Ubisoft's rendit...

Amazon looks like it's upping its PS4 bundle game

Two weeks ago, PlayStation announced that moving forward, all PS4s would come bundled with a copy of The Last of Us: Remastered. Amazon's taking that one step further and packing in yet another game at half price. Right now, ...

People bought many a Wii U and amiibo in 2014

According to a media release from Nintendo, the Wii U sold almost 30 percent more hardware and over 75 percent more games in 2014 than the previous year, likely fueled by the one-two punch of Mario Kart 8 (1.7 million physica...

A really cheap bundle of Assassin's Creed games highlights some decent Amazon deals

Amazon must've had a bunch of download cards left over following Microsoft's holiday promotion featuring a reduced Xbox One bundle. Apart from several unsold Assassin's Creed packaged consoles, how else could you ex...

PS4 sales at 18.5M worldwide, PS+ subscribers near 11M

PlayStation Plus was such a clever way to migrate people towards the idea of paying for online mulitplayer. It's still a good service, but also sly as hell. I let my membership lapse last year, but I'm (probably) in the minor...

Friendly reminder: Last chance to buy a discounted Xbox One bundle

Now that all the gift-giving and present-receiving is done, do you have some extra cash lying around? If so and an Xbox One's in your near future, you might want to buy that sooner rather than later. Waiting will just cost yo...

Amazon's gift to you is free (good) Android titles and (more) cheap videogame downloads photo
Amazon's gift to you is free (good) Android titles and (more) cheap videogame downloads
by Brett Makedonski

[Update: There are a handful of new deals on videogame downloads, as well as some decent savings on other stuff -- including some portable hard drives that make great external storage for gaming consoles. All updated discounts are toward the top of the list; everything from yesterday's post is underneath it. As is customary, updated Amazon posts get bonus Grohl. #BonusGrohl]

Well, it's tough to argue with this -- free Android games on Amazon, several of which are quality titles. Five Nights at Freddy's? Sure, I'll try it out. Terraria? I'll give it a shot. Tetris? Never heard of it, but maybe it's okay.

When reached for comment, Dave Grohl said that he approved of free mobile games, but he couldn't fully endorse the deals on PC titles. "Even though I'm the sexiest of international rock stars, I'm still wary of paying for videogames," Grohl commented. "Yes, I have more money than I know what to do with, but everyone's trying to sell me computer games. Steam, Amazon, everyone. It's tiring." Grohl concluded by yelling "THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST..." until Destructoid was irked enough to hang up the phone.

Steam sale: Just Cause 2, Garry's Mod, Goat Simulator

Much to my dismay, the Steam Holiday Sale is still going on. Maybe it'll never end. Maybe discounted PC games are the new standard. And then Valve will further slash the prices of select games -- causing a sale within a sale -- a paradox capable of ripping apart the fabric of this fragile existence. Don't enable Valve and its world-ending ways.

Steam sale: The Walking Dead, Outlast, Saints Row IV

Steam's trottin' out its (approximately) two-week train of titles, hoping to sell a few more units of each. As the consumer, you get to give a personal yay or nay on every single one of these. You're the emperor in Gladiator that pauses dramatically before casting a thumbs-up or a thumbs-down. You decide whether these games live or die. You really shouldn't have this much power.

Amazon's trying to steal Steam's thunder with a bunch of PC download sales

Tread lightly, Amazon. You're setting up shop in a part of town that's run by Sticky Fingers Newell and his crew. That's not just bad for business; that's bad for your kneecaps. But, here are all your wares anyway -- PC downl...
