Trials Fusion will be late on PC, but there's a beta soon

Originally slated for an April 16, 2014 launch across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC, Trials Fusion is now going to be a bit late on the latter platform. It's a Ubisoft game, after all. The new date for PC is April...

This custom Trials Evolution track boggles the mind

When Trials Evolution released last year, I played around with the level editor enough to see huge potential in it and also to understand that I could never personally tap into that potential. Thankfully, there are people li...

Review: Trials Evolution photo
Review: Trials Evolution
by Jordan Devore

When I reviewed Trials HD back in 2009, I wasn't so sure the game would see the level of success I and other fans felt it deserved. Those concerns were ultimately unwarranted, as it now sits among the all-time best-selling titles available for Xbox Live Arcade. Better yet, RedLynx was able to create a follow-up.

As the name would indicate, Trials Evolution isn't so much a fundamentally new game as it is an extension of everything we've come to love (and hate) about its predecessor. That said, don't go into this expecting little more than a few new features and a fresh coat of paint.

After playing through the first few levels, you'll understand why the new content warranted another full installment.

Preview: Trials Evolution will ruin my life photo
Preview: Trials Evolution will ruin my life
by Darren Nakamura

Trials HD caught me completely by surprise. It released during Microsoft's Summer of Arcade promotion in 2009, and it took a distant third place among those games as far as my hype level goes. In fact, were it not for constant recommendations from our own Jordan Devore, I probably would have obtained only 'Splosion Man and Shadow Complex, without even giving a second thought to Trials HD.

In hindsight, perhaps I would have been better off without ever being introduced to the black-tar heroin that is Trials. There's no turning back at this point, but now that Trials will have multiplayer, I can at least drag three other people with me in my downward spiral of punishingly difficult motorcycle platform/racing.
