It's a My Little Rhythm PaRappa Pony Heaven freak out

Rhythm Heaven Fever is my favorite game of 2012. I love Fez and Retro City Rampage and Fatal Frame 2 and many, many other games that were released this year, but none of them have made a permanent change to my dail...

So cute: Spelunky Man and Meat Boy made out of clay

With TGS nearly upon us, news this week has been rather slow; I'm sure you've noticed. As such, I'm going to call it right now: Derek Yu's comic about Spelunky Man and Meat Boy is the best thing that's going to happen today. ...

Get VVVVVV from Steam if you know what's good for you

At this point, I ought to just have a percentage of my paychecks go straight to Terry Cavanagh. Everything he does I seem to either enjoy, or at the very least, find interesting. Arguably his best game, VVVVVV, is now on Stea...

You can be the proud owner of a Servbot Bobble Budd

By the time I realized Capcom was offering those ever-delightful Servbots in Bobble Budd form during this year's Comic-Con, it was already too late. I'm fairly certain I even cursed the name of Giant Bomb's own Ryan Davis for...

Dooder's whimsy will melt your ice heart photo
Dooder's whimsy will melt your ice heart
by Jordan Devore

2D, sprite-based platformers seem to be the go-to genre for many independent developers. If you aren't the kind of person who grew up on 8- or 16-bit titles, this can be a hard sell. Dooder by Matthew Thomas Seely certainly applies, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Those who are allergic to cute might want to stay away, as Dooder's impossibly delightful style will make you vomit rainbow-colored confetti. There's a free demo, and you ought to play it. No, really. Play it.

The facial expressions -- in particular, the ones shown while Dooder is using power-ups -- are phenomenal. As is the character design in general. Hell, besides maybe the control placement, there wasn't a single thing I didn't like about this demo. I know I'm an easy guy to please, but seriously -- so much potential here.

Epic Mickey controller leaves us speechless (also, Tron)

PDP sent over a press release yesterday announcing Tron: Evolution and Epic Mickey controllers it was making, and we basically ignored it. Because, you know, “LOL, controllers,” right? Today’s slow news day ...

E3 10: Netflix search functionality coming to Xbox 360

E3 10: Our most anticipated games of the show
by Nick Chester

E3 is going to be massive, and it's only a few days away. After taking a deep breath and digesting the mighty "Games of E3" list we posted yesterday, I polled the Destructoid staff to find out what title they think are going to be the hottest titles at the show. Or perhaps more specifically, what they're looking forward to.

What did they say? You'll never know until you hit the jump!

Death himself will come after cheaters in Guild Wars
