This Metroid mod for Spelunky is beyond surreal photo
This Metroid mod for Spelunky is beyond surreal
by Jordan Devore

This mod for Spelunky is messing with my head. It's a mashup of two games which each have a highly specific, distinct gameplay feel. I almost can't deal with seeing Samus so zoomed out.

To achieve the desired effect, creator Joey4track reskinned the original sprites and swapped out the music to recreate the look of Metroid. But this is still very much Spelunky in terms of how it handles. There are some inconsistencies -- ropes and dogs, for instance, appear unaltered -- resulting in a creation that is weird and cool, all the same.

Although the mod is unfinished, parts of it can be downloaded right now.

Mod completely sinks Los Santos into the ocean in GTA V

Oh this is just fantastic. A modder by the name of Bushigan has submerged Los Santos into the ocean. The mod was accomplished through a modded PlayStation 3, and as you can see life sort of goes on while Grand Theft Auto V's main city is ravaged by waves. You can make this happen yourself, so long as you have a modded PS3 that is. (Via Kotaku)
