Mega Man 5 hits Wii U, Mega Man StreetPass puzzle hits 3DS

Rehashing is not new for Capcom. Still, does it feel like, just maybe, the excitement over Keiji Inafune's two not-Mega Men has spurred Capcom to release a bunch of Mega Man stuff this month? Maybe. Mega Man 5 ...

Rockman Xover gets another cool looking boss that's wasted on this game

When people say "Mega Man is dead, I wish Capcom made more games from that franchise" it's not entirely true. Well it is, kind of, but there is also a Mega Man game out that's constantly updated -- Rockman Xover. It's a ...

Nintendo checks in with Capcom, confirms Battle Network VC release photo
Nintendo checks in with Capcom, confirms Battle Network VC release
by Chris Carter

Nintendo took a minute (well, 15 actually) to check in with Capcom in a decidedly Mega Man themed Nintendo Minute. Speaking to Brett Elston of Capcom, they chatted a bit about recent Mega Man merch, as well as the newest game to hit the Virtual Console -- Mega Man Battle Network, which has already dropped in Europe and is set to hit the US on July 31.

Man, how cool would it be if Nintendo bought Capcom and gave Mega Man the care he needs? Also, how lucrative would a Nintendo exclusive Monster Hunter franchise be over time if it owned the entire IP? It's a match made in heaven.

New Mighty No. 9 video shows off transformation powers, Call gameplay photo
New Mighty No. 9 video shows off transformation powers, Call gameplay
by Chris Carter

Developer Comcept has done a great job of keeping its fans updated on the Mighty No. 9 project -- and for some fans, overly so. Although this new video has a fair amount of recycled footage at the start and the end, the middle gives us a new look at Beck's powers, as well as some solid footage of Call.

I know some people are disappointed at its dash-heavy gameplay and score system, but keep in mind that this is a rough alpha, and the game is still a long ways away. Also, the dashing totally rocks.

Catch another new minute of Mighty No. 9 footage

Are you done watching the new trailer for Azure Striker Gunvolt yet? Well take a gander at this new Mighty No. 9 footage, which shows off some of the combat systems as well as a ton of dashing, environmental obstacles, and even a few bosses. So far it's looking good -- I'm liking the increased emphasis on dashing, which reminds me of some of the later X games.

Tourney crowd goes wild as Mega Man's full Final Smash animation is revealed
by Chris Carter

Last night's Super Smash Bros. Invitational was full of great moments, but one of the absolute highlights was the reveal of Mega Man's Final Smash. It was the first one of the night, and the Blue Bomber is a perfect character to really show it off to a roaring crowd.

I never would have believed that Nintendo would make people more excited for Mega Man than Capcom as a kid.
