The Merc with a Mouth gets his own game, first trailer photo
The Merc with a Mouth gets his own game, first trailer
by Brett Zeidler

Well, it's finally happening, guys. Deadpool will star in his very own videogame, called Deadpool: The Game. High Moon Studios (the team behind Transformers: Fall of Cybertron) will be handling the development duties, with Activision set to publish the game.

Nolan North will voice Deadpool, which is an appropriate choice because he's done the voice for Deadpool in all his appearances ever since Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. It just seems a bit strange because he's doing his normal Nathan Drake-esque voice when he talks. Still sounds great all the same, though.

Now, the trailer itself was absolutely perfect. High Moon definitely nailed the humor and fourth wall breaking that Deadpool is known for. The trailer alone was full of so many unforgettable quotes. My personal favorite has to be, "Now let's be honest, I'm not the only one with a little bit of sh*t in their pants right now, am I?" No Deadpool, you're not.

So, we know they've got the character down, now it's just a matter of if the gameplay will be any good. From what I could tell of the small bits in the trailer (which shows Deadpool riding and punching a guy in the face while they fly towards Earth, among much more), it's looking like the whole game is shaping up quite nicely. What do you guys think?

Preview: Playing superhero in Marvel Heroes photo
Preview: Playing superhero in Marvel Heroes
by Steven Hansen

Is the whole “Marvel versus DC” thing still a thing people bark at each other over? Well, the DC universe has its own cleverly titled MMO, DC Universe Online, leaving Marvel to play catch up with its equally cleverly titled Marvel Heroes.

Of course, the differences in the games are plenty, not the least of which is that Marvel Heroes will be free to play. Yes, the dreaded acronym that leaves hardcore gamers recoiling in disgust, hissing from beneath flower planter in the garden of the current videogame industry.

Anyone who will be at San Diego Comic-Con in a couple days can check the game out for themselves; for the rest of you, I’ll tell you a bit about it.

Rocket Raccoon and Frank West 'officially' join MvC3 photo
Rocket Raccoon and Frank West 'officially' join MvC3
by Wesley Ruscher

Capcom didn't do a very good job keeping the full roster of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 a secret from the gaming world when they announced the first four of twelve new characters back at San Diego Comic Con. For the sake of today's reveal though, let's pretend that we never saw that and revel in the fact that Dead Rising's Frank West and Marvel's Rocket Raccoon are now officially part of UMvC3's cast of warriors.

I got a chance to give the drunken photographer and furry guardian of the galaxy -- as well as most of the new cast of UMvC3 -- a go at a Capcom press event last week and I have to say both these unconventional fighters suit the game quite well.
