PS4 dated, priced in Korea, Hong Kong -- all before Japan photo
PS4 dated, priced in Korea, Hong Kong -- all before Japan
by Steven Hansen

The PS4 will be launching in South East Asia -- Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Korea -- on December 17. Meanwhile, Japan is still waiting until February 22, 2014. My guess is that, after the Vita's launch, Sony wanted to ensure the PS4 would launch there with a strong lineup suited to Japanese tastes.

Some pricing details have been revealed with regards to the Hong Kong launch, via IGN Asia. The PS4 will retail for HK$3380 (about $436USD), with an additional SKU bundled with the PS Camera for HK$3680 (about $474USD).

Meanwhile, Japanese news agency Yonhap (via Neogaf) reports the PS4 will launch on December 17 in South Korea for ₩498,000 (about $470USD) with 19 launch titles, 5 of which are full localized in Korean.

PlayStation 4 will cost $1,850 in Brazil

It's no secret that console prices are really expensive outside of North America, Western Europe, and Japan. As expensive as a new Xbox One or PS4 is, spare a thought for our Brazilian friends who are going to be paying almos...

Nintendo president: 'meh' to PS4, Xbox One launch titles

How do you feel about the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launch lineups? I'm not exactly digging what Microsoft's shoveling, but I'm happy enough with the PS4's slated games (Hohokum!). Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-...

PS4 will release on November 15 in North America
by Darren Nakamura

Sony's gamescom press conference is over now, but they saved a key nugget of information for the very end. Just before closing out, Sony confirmed earlier PlayStation 4 pricing information, added that the console would launch in 32 countries, and finally dropped the release dates: November 15 in North America, and November 29 in Europe.

Another impressive bit of news from this section of the conference is that PlayStation 4 pre-orders have topped 1 million worldwide. Mark your calendars, people! The full force of the next generation of game consoles is almost upon us.

Kick up a fuss in Mars: War Logs

The launch of Mars: War Logs somehow managed to slip past me, but it looks pretty damn groovy. Moral choices, rebellion, lots of sand -- it seems like my cup of tea. Mass Effect by way of Red Faction is a lazy...

Behold OUYA's launch lineup of 104 titles photo
Behold OUYA's launch lineup of 104 titles
by Tony Ponce

I wasn't interested in OUYA in the beginning, but I've warmed up to the tiny box. A console just for free or free-to-play digital distribution games? After the parade of shame and disappointment that is the home console space proper, I'm ready for a machine that encourages simple pleasures over whatever nonsense big companies want to shove down our throats this week.

OUYA started arriving at Kickstarter backers' homes a few days ago, but the official release is set for June 4 -- that's my birthday, if you were wondering what to get me. A hefty 104 titles will launch with the box, including Canabalt, Giana Sisters, and Final Fantasy III. In addition to games, there will be other software such as a TwitchTV app and various console emulators.

I don't recognize most of the names on the list -- I'm sure a lot of them are garbage. That's the nature of the beast, I suppose. We'll see how well the machine is received once it drops. In the meantime, check the full launch lineup below.
