David Cage joined by film writers and directors on PS4

It's not normal for a man to write a 2,000 page script or direct a 10+ hour film, so I can't blame David Cage if all of Beyond: Two Souls isn't golden. Realizing how this strains developer Quantic Dream's game director, co-CE...

The perfect Mortal Kombat movie cast, CONFIRMED photo
The perfect Mortal Kombat movie cast, CONFIRMED
by Jim Sterling

Mortal Kombat has another live-action movie in the works, and it's probably not going to be very good. That doesn't mean it has to be awful, though. The right blend of actors can turn any film, no matter how cynical, into a classic worthy of the Oscars. Yes, even a videogame movie!

As a budding Hollywood producer, I have slaved over hot data and juicy demographics with my crack team to scientifically distill a perfect Mortal Kombat movie cast -- the actors and actresses qualified above all else to bring this classic fighting game franchise to life. Including our conceptual mockups, we hope to present this to George Lucas himself, so he may give us his almighty blessing.

Behold, the perfect Mortal Kombat movie cast!

Metal Gear Solid Hollywood film adaptation is a thing photo
Metal Gear Solid Hollywood film adaptation is a thing
by Allistair Pinsof

One of the most cinematic games is finally reaching cinemas through a partnership between Columbia Pictures and Kojima Productions. At the Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary event in Japan, series creator Hideo Kojima was joined by Hollywood producer Avi Arad, who has worked on The Amazing Spider-Man and many other recent Marvel films. Now, he'll take his hand at producing a Metal Gear Solid film.

"For many years I fought to bring comics to theaters -- and video games are the comics of today," Arad said. "We will take our time and tell the story with all the nuances, ideology, cautionary tales needed."

Hideo mentioned Christopher Nolan, Hugh Jackman, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck among people he would like to cast for the film. For now though, it all seems like a pipe dream with no director or screenwriter attached. The ball is rolling though. Hopefully it's going in the right direction.
