Dumb Idiot Ideas: I want Hackers DLC for Watchdogs photo
Dumb Idiot Ideas: I want Hackers DLC for Watchdogs
by Max Scoville

About this time last year, Watchdogs was looking like a major contender for my 2013 GOTY. However, here we are almost a quarter of the way through 2014, and I still haven't gotten my hands on the game, so I've been forced to entertain myself with my own stupid imagination. Today, my stupid imagination conjured up the desire to see Watchdogs DLC based on the 1995 film Hackers, and unfortunately, I decided to make a video about it.

Hack the planet: Disrupt is up on Steam Greenlight

Despite all of the art and design that goes into creating expansive worlds in an effort to create immersion, few games make the player actually feel like he is doing the things on screen quite like Uplink once did. Certainly...

Final Fantasy VII NES restoration sees release

It’s always impressive to see crafty modders making enhancements to fan-favorite games or allowing us to go zombie hunting in Russia, but I myself am more intrigued with the world of retro hacking. The endless imaginati...

NEWER Super Mario Bros. Wii is available for free photo
NEWER Super Mario Bros. Wii is available for free
by Tony Ponce

If you are a Wii U owner and possess a copy of New Super Mario Bros. U, you've probably downloaded New Super Luigi U from the eShop already. That, or you are waiting on the limited edition retail release in the coming months. But don't feel left out if you are still rocking the original Wii and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. We've got just the hotness for you too!

Back in 2011, we reported on a fan-made hack of the Wii platformer entitled Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii. After three years of development, it's finally available. As long as you have a copy of the original game, an SD card with around 570 MB of free space, and a homebrew-enabled Wii (or Wii U in Wii mode), you can get this baby up and running with no trouble whatsoever by following these simple steps.

The Newer team went miles farther with their alterations than Nintendo did with Luigi U. Newer contains 128 new levels, completely new world maps and environments, new music, new enemies and bosses, and even the return of the Hammer Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3. All for free!
