Dark Souls II reimagined as an '80s cartoon

Well, this is a fun concept: Dark Souls II as an '80s cartoon. You know how much we love those. Now, I don't want to oversell the video -- the execution doesn't go quite as far as I'd like -- but it's so, so close. There are tons of terrific little touches, however, and that final line pushed me over the edge into "I need to share this" territory. And here we are. [Via @aaronlinde]

Domino's Fire Emblem pizza isn't for Fire Emblem, sadly

Domino's "pizza" is terrible junk I wouldn't eat if I'd ingested a poison for which the only cure was the exact blend of possum endocrine system and Nickelback sweat found in Domino's pizza. That said, Domino's Japan is at le...

Lightning Returns Japanese voice pack DLC available now

The Japanese Voice Pack DLC is available for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII today, priced at $3.99. That's great and appreciated, but I'm really here for the Moogle dress that we've been hearing about. That crazy dress...

The Olympics would be better with Mario Kart power-ups

I'd be more inclined to watch the Olympics were it to actually have Mario Kart-like power-ups. Really any sport would be better with weapons.

Goodbye Solid Ground, hello neon blindness

The above video is a demonstration of Goodbye Solid Ground, a game where the player rescues cats from a deteriorating environment by throwing them through a portal. It should probably have come with a seizure warning, or at ...

Seadelphica has a dolphin with machine guns, uses Tumblr

A black dolphin lives in every one of us. The dolphin represents our soul as a comic creature, and Seadelphica explores how closely our souls and high technology are connected. It also looks like a mindf*ck. Seriously -- you ...

Twitch Plays Pokemon causing chat issues

Twitch Plays Pokemon is a huge deal. So huge, in fact, it's been causing enormous stress on Twitch's chat system across the entire service. On Sunday Twitch actually moved the channel off of their normal servers onto a dedica...

So there's a blog on videogame foliage

The good folks at Giant Bomb linked us to this fascinating blog on game foliage. Alex Swaim's Video Game Foliage is my newest Tumblr follow because it's so weird and specific that I'll always want to hear what ...

Rust needs more players like this guy

[Editor's Note: There's a visible dong in this video's thumbnail because you start out as a naked dude in Rust, so, yeah. I've embedded it below. Consider this your NSFW warning.] As far as I'm concerned, this is the perfect ...

Not all bootleg Pokémon games are terrible

There are so many popular YouTube creators that I just plain cannot connect with as a viewer, try as I might, but JonTron isn't one of them. Oh how he makes me laugh. I'm happy to see him making videos again and this latest ...

Twitch Plays Pokemon is the best thing since Salty Bet

It could have easily been a disaster, but it's quite the opposite. I cannot stop watching. Twitch Plays Pokemon is a collaborative stream in which Pokemon Red/Blue is played by people in chat. Button inputs (e.g., "up," "down...

Ken and Ryu make out: Videogames turned romance novels

In Valentine's Day spirit Shutterstock tasked an artist with turning some of its stock photos into mock up paintings for videogame romance novels, full of Austen-tatious fonts and a creepy Princess Peach. I'm not sure why, but I guess it's a novel idea. The Duck Hunt one was out of left field, too. Power Couples : Classic Video Games Reimagined as Romance Novels [Shutterstock]

The thing many of us desperately wanted to happen is going to: Coffee Stain Studios has relented and will turn its humorous Goat Simulator concept into a real game. Or was this -- putting the idea out there and seeing if peo...

16GB iPhone with 'rare' Flappy Bird going for Ł6 million

Condoms included with inFamous pre-order in Italy

GameStop Italy is offering a pre-order kit for inFamous Second Son that includes two cans of Red Bull and glow-in-the-dark condoms. Yes, really. In the words of Max Scoville, "Infamous: Second Skin, so you don't have a Second Son." And, honestly, this is a more useful pre-order bonus than in-game jackets for Delsin. [Via NeoGAF]
