Double the RP, double the fun in GTA Online this weekend

How's your street cred doin'? It's probably taken a hit since you visited that indie coffee shop and volunteered at the local food shelter. Everyone thinks you're a softie now. GTA Online can help reverse that notion (at...

Video: Lindsay Lohan is suing GTA V creators over use of her likeness
by Bill Zoeker

Lindsay Lohan has filed a law suit against Rockstar, the creators of Grand Theft Auto V. The suit claims Lohan's likeness is used in the game, without her permission, based on the character of Tracey Jonas. It's a pretty far-fetched claim, and sure not to go far. But it is worth a good laugh.

This real life GTA V trailer is wonderfully done

There's been some neat stuff happening with Grand Theft Auto V videos lately. This comparison between the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game was impressive enough to really drive home how much more detailed the PS4/Xbox O...

You don't say: GTA Online heists are taking longer than expected

Rockstar has been putting out fairly regular updates for GTA Online but to some players, that content has been essentially irrelevant -- it's the heist update we want, not this other stuff. The company responded to player inq...

Tuesday Newsday: Destiny, Halo, GTA V and Emoji photo
Tuesday Newsday: Destiny, Halo, GTA V and Emoji
by Max Scoville

Here's some very flaccid news in the wake of E3 -- Destiny's Alpha is over, with a Beta next month. The game'll be a Sony exclusive in Japan. The new dude from Halo 5: Guardians has been named Agent Locke, and he'll be introduced in the Nightfall series. Capcom is essentially up for sale, kinda, sorta, and Nintendo's selling more Wii U's than you might've thought. Ubisoft apparently nerfed Watch Dogs' PC capabilities, and GTA V on PS4, PC, and Xbox One looks great and will have hammerhead sharks. Oh yeah and there's new Emoji. What? Emoji's sort of a video game.

Grand Theft Auto Online takes aims at hipsters with update

Grand Theft Auto feels laughably behind the curve with its recent "post ironic, artisanal, organic, entirely independent, 100% re-claimed 'I'm Not a Hipster' Update." Even New Simpsons managed a banal and empty "hipster"...

Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 looks amazing next to PS3 version photo
Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 looks amazing next to PS3 version
by Brett Makedonski

It might not ever get old comparing games on last-gen and this-gen consoles. Well, at least not for a while. The latest title to get this treatment is Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 and PS3.

GTA V on PS3 was no slouch, but it seems like the PS4 version could blow it out of the water judging by a side-by-side comparison of the trailers. Just check out at all that detail and the lighting. Trevor's sure to look more insane than ever!

Grand Theft Auto V coming to PS4, PC, Xbox One this fall photo
Grand Theft Auto V coming to PS4, PC, Xbox One this fall
by Steven Hansen

[Update: Rockstar has also announced Xbox One and PC versions. There you go! On PC, expect to find a new video editor "designed for advanced movie-making."]

The inevitable has come, though with one surprise.

Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 "takes full advantage of the PS4" and "features a host of enhancements." Sure. It's got more power. The kick is that PS3 and Xbox 360 players can transfer their GTA Online characters and progress onto the PS4 version. Pretty nifty.
