Trading in X-Rebirth looks streamlined and even fun

Yes, space trading can be fun although to be honest, I can't think of many activities that wouldn't be less fun when you're not doing them in a space ship. Whilst trading in most games is simply a means to an end, X-Rebirth ...

Aer's proof-of-concept trailer is very pretty indeed

An eye-catching trailer with a distinct art style is always going to get my attention and this debut trailer for Aer is no exception. Created by Forgotten Key, a small indie studio in Sweden, it shows off a simple, block art...

Euro-in luck: Soul Hackers set for September 20 in Europe photo
Euro-in luck: Soul Hackers set for September 20 in Europe
by Steven Hansen

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is a game with a name hard to squeeze into a headline. It also released for the 3DS in April in the United States (August 2012 in Japan). It will finally be released in Europe on September 20. This is, notably, an entire week's delay from the original, promised upon September 13 release date.

Don't take this lying down, European readers. First they think they can delay a release one week, next thing you know it will be months, maybe even years before you get a game already released to much of the world. I mean, that already happens sometimes (oftentimes), but, you know. Principles and that lot.

Actually, don't rise up against the publishing menace. Unless that truly is your moral imperative, I guess. But I hear Soul Hackers, the slightly gussied up (full voice acting) version of the 1997 cyberpunk and demonic JRPG is pretty good.

Sony to put on quarterly events for indie developers

It warms my heart to see console makers embrace independent gaming. It's a good move on their part to build up a diverse library of games, some of which may go on to become huge, breakout successes. And it's good for us too, ...
