DmC: Devil May Cry's Bloody Palace tips and impressions photo
DmC: Devil May Cry's Bloody Palace tips and impressions
by Chris Carter

Capcom and Ninja Theory have recently provided a free add-on to DmC: Devil May Cry called the Bloody Palace, to help extend your replay value a bit.

For those of you who have never played a Devil May Cry game before, the Bloody Palace is an arena-like survival mode, where you face multiple levels of foes until you reach a set final end floor, and fight a final boss.

It's basically the Dark Realm from Onimusha franchise, and it's been in every game except for the first Devil May Cry.

DmC's Vergil DLC about 3 to 5 hours of new content photo
DmC's Vergil DLC about 3 to 5 hours of new content
by Hamza CTZ Aziz

The upcoming downloadable story content for DmC picks up right where the game finishes, so needless to say this will be one spoiler filled preview.

At the end of DmC, Dante plunges his sword into Vergil and nearly kills the misguided brother. Vergil is spared, but he's left battered, bruised, and lost in a new realm that's closer to that of a hell-like dimension compared to the limbo areas that players went through as Dante.

Not only is Vergil badly hurt and lost in an unknown dimension, but he's also lost the amulet he was given by his parents, thus losing a good portion of his powers.

These DmC combo videos are SSSENSATIONAL

DmC: Devil May Cry was a blast to play, and one of my favorite things to pull in the game were all the crazy attacks and combos you can string together. Capcom-Unity pulled together a few videos fans have made stringing toge...

Asking which version of Dante is cooler photo
Asking which version of Dante is cooler
by Spencer Hayes

People seem to be in a state of perpetual butt-hurt over Dante's redesign in DMC: Devil May Cry. I guess people resist change in any capacity, but who cares what nerds think?

My team and I decided to hit the streets and learn what the people of America thought about Dante's new style. The results may surprise you.

Not-review: DmC: Devil May Cry on PC photo
Not-review: DmC: Devil May Cry on PC
by Jim Sterling

DmC: Devil May Cry has been out for a while, and I think everybody's said what they need to say about it. Whether you're a supporter of the game, a hater of the game, or you were busy making up stories about human babies being shot in the game to have an opinion, it's out now, and everybody's had their say.

As is so often the case, the PC version of the game has not received quite so much press, despite being, in several ways, the version most worth checking out. Fortunately, we gave this forgotten, recently released alternative a try, and can confirm it's definitely got a few things over on its more widely marketed console brethren.

New DmC: Devil May Cry costumes revealed photo
New DmC: Devil May Cry costumes revealed
by Chris Carter

After I beat DmC: Devil May Cry the other day, I unlocked the white-haired Dante costume. Essentially, it's the new Dante in his same "new" style, with his old hair color.

It was small concession for fans who really cared what he looked like, but now we're getting three more costumes that should placate a few more fans.

They'll be available for purchase (lol) on January 30th, and you can view them all in our lovely gallery. It kind of ruins the joke they played about his old style, but hey, it works for me.

As I said in my 100% Retrospective, I enjoyed the new DmC, despite the fact that it had a number of shortcomings that held it back from greatness.

I'm hoping with the upcoming Vergil DLC and the free Bloody Palace update, they can augment the game even further (not to mention possible old school DLC down the line).

All I know is that I'm playing the game wholly as the costume in the header from now on (the other two costumes I outright don't like), and I'm pretty damn excited.

Are you?

100% Series Retrospective: Devil May Cry photo
100% Series Retrospective: Devil May Cry
by Chris Carter

[Read on for a description of every Devil May Cry game ever released in the US, and my completion of them all in 2013.]

2013 is going to be an exciting year. Now that I know you guys enjoy reading my Quests, I'm going to make an effort to do even more of them from here on out.

I hope that you have learned a bit about the franchises I've covered so far, as my plan is to inspire others to share their thoughts and feelings with the series of their choice as well (which many of you have done!).

In addition to Metroid, Mega Man Classic, the Mega Man spinoffs, Mega Man X, and Splinter Cell, I also have another one ready to go for 2013: Devil May Cry.

See what new Dante thinks of the whole white hair issue

In the first level of DmC: Devil May Cry, Dante gets a little surprise while taking on the game's first boss. The video is below the fold as the thumbnail is a a bit spoilerish.  [Thanks, Zak!]
