Pay what you want for Little Inferno, Super Hexagon, and more photo
Pay what you want for Little Inferno, Super Hexagon, and more
by Hamza CTZ Aziz

We've partnered up with the fine folks at Humble Bundle, along with a bunch of our indie pals, to present to you a very special Destructoid-curated Humble Bundle! Pay what you want and you'll get Little Inferno, Super Hexagon, and Natural Selection II along with each of their soundtracks.

Pay $6 or more and you'll also receive Critter Crunch, Hotline Miami, and PixelJunk Monsters Ultimate (plus soundtrack). Both Critter Crunch and PixelJunk Monsters Ultimate are making their first appearance in a bundle with this promotion too.

All the revenue raised here will go to the developers behind each game, and you can also choose to have some of the money go towards two great charities: Child's Play and Watsi.

The Humble Bundle presented by Destructoid will be live until April 10 at 11AM Pacific. We'll be giving away some codes for this collection over on our Twitter and Facebook pages, plus we'll livestream all these games on our Twitch channel throughout the entire promotion run starting today!

Six great games, six wonderful developers, and two great charities. Thanks again to the crew at Humble, and developers Unknown Worlds, Capybara Games, Terry Cavanagh, Tomorrow Corporation, Q-Games, and Dennaton Games!

Free Rise of the Triad update adds Doomstick, six community maps

Punchy, semi-auto shotguns are my jam. I'm not playing 2013's Rise of the Triad, but maybe I should be. Update 1.4 has gone live and while it most notably introduces the Doomstick, there are also six community maps added to ...

Hitman: Absolution, Deadlight are April's free Games with Gold photo
Hitman: Absolution, Deadlight are April's free Games with Gold
by Jordan Devore

The featured titles in Microsoft's Games with Gold promotion have tended to not be compelling, I think most of us can agree. April shows signs of improvement, with Hitman: Absolution available to Xbox Live Gold members for free from April 1 - 15, and Deadlight offered from April 16 - 30.

I hadn't yet played the game, but our own Brett Makedonski shared this advice for Deadlight: "Get it for free, play the first bit, then put it down forever."

Let's hope this pair is the beginning of moderately good things to come for Games with Gold.

Dead Space is free if you're willing to put up with Origin photo
Dead Space is free if you're willing to put up with Origin
by Jordan Devore

In an effort to get you to finally install Origin, Electronic Arts has begun a new On the House promotion in which "full games, expansions, and more" can be downloaded for free.

The first selection is one those who can deal with horror games ought to play: Dead Space.

Frankly, I'm not sure what else would convince someone to play this for the first time in 2014 other than it being given away for free. While Visceral lost its momentum with Dead Space 3, the two prior games are absolutely worth playing for genre fans -- they hold up well to this day.

Play Wii Sports Club for free this weekend photo
Play Wii Sports Club for free this weekend
by Jordan Devore

As announced last week, Nintendo is giving Wii U owners the opportunity to play Wii Sports Club for free today through Sunday, March 23 at 11:59 PM Pacific. There are three games available currently -- Tennis, Bowling, and Golf -- and the latter just got a new nine-hole Resort Course.

Outside of promotions like this, these sports are $9.99 each to own, or $1.99 to rent all of them for 24 hours on the Wii U eShop. Nintendo is offering this particular free weekend in the United Kingdom as well, by the way. Too bad Baseball and Boxing aren't out yet!

Now all I need is to hire a bunch of actors to portray my family. I like the look of those old folks.
