There was talk of an incoming Yoshi-themed 3DS XL but we had to resort to using our imaginations. These official images from Nintendo are much better. The limited-edition system will arrive on the same day as Yoshi's New Isla...
999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors' success in the West was enough to birth a sequel, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. That sequel ends on a cliffhanger and it doesn't look like it will be resolved any time soon.
Some games come out of nowhere. Such is the case with AeternoBlade, a 2D action platformer from Corecell Technology -- a relatively unknown eastern developer. It was hit with a few delays in the west, but now, it has a solid release date, and it's finally ready to hit the 3DS eShop.
Even though it doesn't really reach for the stars and looks decidedly dated, it's a decent way for any Metroidvania fan to spend their time.
In the middle of last year Nintendo announced it would try out the whole free-to-play scheme with Steel Diver, to the collective sighs of relief from various Nintendo series fans. Now we have details on just how that pricing model is going to work, and it's a bit of an odd one.
I also got to play the new Steel Diver: Sub Wars, which is dramatically different from its 2D predecessor. This time around, it's fully 3D ship warfare with 4 versus 4 multiplayer.
Leave it to Nintendo to make "free to play" weird.
This time, thankfully, it's my kind of weird. Rusty's Real Deal Baseball is not a baseball game. Rather, it's a compilation of baseball-themed minigames. There's a hitting minigame, for example. Perched at home with a bat, you eye a pitching machine at the slab. Then it erupts from the ground and you find that it is a man in a suit with a pitching machine for a head that pitches you the balls to hit with his man arms.
Also, there's a dog whose wife left him and you have to haggle with him to buy more minigames with real world money.
Yoshi's New Island is looking much better in this new trailer from today's Nintendo Direct presentation than it did in prior videos (though that's not saying a whole lot). This time around, we get to see new mechanics like m...
Remember when we reported that Inazuma Eleven was probably releasing in North America on the 3DS eShop, and then the listing mysteriously disappeared?
Well it looks like Level-5 was saving it for today's Nintendo Direct, as it will be available on the eShop today. Sweet!
When the Guild 01 and 02 Collections dropped overseas, we were missing one game -- Weapon Shop De Omasse. We already reported that the lack of a localization was due to a large amount of text, but eventually I guess the juice was worth the squeeze, and it was announced for a worldwide release.
Billed as a "comedic RPG," Omasse will be released on February 20th on the 3DS eShop.
Today's Nintendo Direct let us know that 3DS title Mario Golf World Tour is launching on May 2nd. As a crazed videogame golf fan, I can't wait.
Today, Iwata showed off a new mode that lets you use your Mii characters t...
It's been a while since we've seen a Pokemon Trozei puzzle game, but Pokemon Battle Trozei is on the way to the 3DS with a March 20th release date.
Nintendo didn't give much information about the puzzle title in today's Nintendo Direct, but they did mention that it would include "over 700" Pokemon, all the way up to the current generation of X & Y.
During today's Nintendo Direct, president Satoru Iwata announced that Kirby: Triple Deluxe will launch on May 2nd, 2014 in North America. That's the exact same date as Mario Golf: World Tour, also launching on the 3DS.
In the meantime, enjoy the new trailer above!
It's another slow week for both eShop fronts, as the only "new" addition to the Wii U's marketplace is the Virtual Console game Super C. Spin the Bottle was released some time ago on the Wii U, but today brings a fairly ...
Renegade Kid has a lot of projects in the works -- Moon Chronicles, Cult County, and Treasurenauts. Of all of the games in their upcoming portfolio though I'm the most interested in the latter, which features old school 2D e...
The next Nintendo Direct presentation, scheduled for Thursday, February 13 at 2:00pm Pacific, features Wii U and 3DS games "launching by the end of spring," according to Nintendo. Here's the link you'll want to use tomorrow, ...
One Piece is a fantastic anime. It follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his charismatic Straw Hat Pirate crew as they search for the "One Piece" -- the most valued treasure in the entire land. They're over 600 episodes in and they still haven't found it, but it's an entertaining journey all the same.
Sadly, One Piece: Romance Dawn isn't a great reflection of the show, mostly due to a lazy presentation.
