Prepare to pay full price twice to unlock all of Battlefield Hardline's exclusive features

"Own More and Be More" is EA's dystopian-toned tagline for their unveiling of Battlefield Hardline Premium. In addition to the £44.00/$59.99 price for the base game (£59.99/$69.99 for the "deluxe" version), you can slap down an additional £44.00/$59.99 to unlock exclusive things that should have been free anyway.

Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster remastered for the PlayStation 4 gets release date

Square Enix has announced final details on Final Fantasy X | X-2 Remaster HD's improved port to the PlayStation 4. This release was announced in December of last year, but since then Square Enix has been mum about it. The port will come with new features and improvements that address some of the qualms many people shared about the original release.

Review: Resident Evil: Revelations 2: Episode 2

I didn't expect to enjoy the first episode of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 as much as I did. It was nice to see Barry and Claire back in action, and the co-op elements were implemented in a neat asynchronous manner. Not ...

Review: Screamride

When I first saw the debut trailer for Screamride, I assumed it was a simulator. Growing up with Sim Theme Park and RollerCoaster Tycoon, I relished the idea of creating and managing my own commercial park and divining n...

The Flock is an intense, scary game of flashlight tag

With so many horror titles out, it's difficult to keep things interesting for players. While some focus on throwing countless monsters at you, others seek to make players feel nearly powerless against a limited number of foes...

That was fast: Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is on Steam

Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is out now on Steam for $7.99. No, you didn't miss any big release date announcement -- this just happened suddenly. That's how developer Scott Cawthon rolls. As someone who's grown increasingly impa...

Marth amiibo resurrects in April

Nintendo has announced that our lord and savior and one true amiibo, Marth, will be back in stores in late April. A little late for him and his friend Ike to join the fight in Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., which will have already been released in March. Finally, our prayers to Reggie have worked. Praise to Iwata. May our enemies' amiibo burn in hell.  Nintendo [Twitter]

Megaton Rainfall is superhero action on an epic scale

Last month, we got a tease from an upcoming indie action title that will put players in the role of a superhero during an alien invasion. The trailer certainly inspired a lot of interest, as it was more somber and earnest, no...

Resident Evil: Revelations 2's Throwback Map Pack isn't worth your cash

Ever since I got my hands on Resident Evil: Revelations 2, I've been playing Raid Mode on a daily basis. It's addicting, and the more I play it, the more I think it's the best iteration of Mercenaries yet. This mode is deep -...

'Togekiss watching Doduo take a crap' and other mistaken sprites

Instead of taking a proper lunch break away from my computer today, I got caught up in this funny, nostalgic NeoGAF thread about "sprites that look like things they're not supposed to." Older games allowed and even encouraged...

Mushroom 11 is a very different game than we saw in 2014

We haven’t gotten a look at Untame’s Mushroom 11 since we gave it a Best of PAX East award in 2014. It captured our hearts at the Boston show, with its approach to kinetic energy proving absolutely entrancing...

Samus and Sagat: When Sagat met Samus

It's highly probable that an alien race, dwelling somewhere in outer space, has developed technology the likes of which we could only dream of, but lack something we consider mundane. For example, what if a race of magical b...

Review: Blackhole

There certainly have been a lot of creative 2D platform games releasing over the last couple of months, enough that there seems to be some genuine competition in the genre. If you're finding yourself in a position where it has become difficult to choose, allow me to make it easier.  Get Blackhole. Problem solved.

I fear for my fingers after seeing Amplitude in action

Harmonix is reviving Amplitude this summer and, if recent rumors hold up, Activison might bring back Guitar Hero. The lows of the rhythm genre are real low, but I'm ready for that high again. Going into this weekend's PAX Ea...
