900,000 Castle Crashers, 3,532,940 princesses saved photo

The Behemoth has boasted an impressive milestone today, revealing that the Castle Crashers leaderboards have logged 900,000 players. According to the studio, that equates to roughly 3,532,940 princesses saved and 112,478,313,017 swings of a sword. That's a very loose estimate, of course.

Castle Crashers is one of the most critically acclaimed and beloved XBLA titles, managing to rise above its notorious multiplayer issues in order to become a much staple Xbox Live game. To celebrate its success, The Behemoth is running a little contest in which fans can guess the exact time and date that Castle Crashers hits 100,000 users. For details, check out the dev blog and try your luck.

Congratulations to The Behemoth on a success well-earned.

They brought beat 'em ups back, and deserve a ton of credit. I hope their next effort matches the gloriousness that is Castle Crashers.

I'm not trying to sound like a dick, but I think that should be 1,000,000 users.

I hope their next game isn't broken upon release and it takes 6 months to get a fix.

Castle Crashers is the only XBLA game I own where I wish I could get my points back, I bought it for the online co-op, I was severely dissapointed and I didn't care about the game anymore after the patch came out.

This would have been perfect if it were not for the LONG update patch. I hope the next game they make, they would act like the wind and swiftly patch up any problems that arise.

Castle Crashers was a breath of fresh air in the XBLA marketplace. There needs to be more quality beat-em-ups like this being made because it's obvious that old school gameplay still has an audience. Can't wait to see what the boys at Behemoth crank out next!

This is kind of bizarre, I just got back into playing this game recently after not touching it for months.
