50 Cent: Blood in the Sand director Julian Waddows wants his game to be the Burnout of shooters, to take the genre as it exists and emphasize all that is fun.
"We wanted to do for the shooter genre what Burnout did for racers," states Waddows. "What Diablo did for RPGs. We wanted to take all that makes the genre fun and exaggerate it." Well, I think a self-centered rapper mowing down terrorists in the Middle East is quite an exaggeration, so Waddows is off to a good start.
Blood in the Sand is supposed to actually be looking quite good. The only problem is that 50 Cent is definitely in the top ten least likable people on the planet, and his standing in that list will do nothing but rise once Ian Huntley succeeds in killing himself. Still, the man who lives in his own bullet-drenched fantasy world and should replace the "e" in his name with a more suitable vowel has a fair few fans, so I expect to see this on Gamestation's chart shelf within days of release.

I guess I can't have any positive feelings towards black people and make a comment on how I feel there is a lot of subconscious or conscious racism going on.

I haven't got anything against 50 Cent.
I enjoyed his first album, didn't see all of his film but I still had a good time watching what I did see, I think at Reading 2004 he showed great integrity by playing on despite being bottled by thousands of people (and throwing a fold up chair back (which he said "was crossing the line" - the bottles were ok by him) and finishing by throwing the microphone and knocking someone out who tried to sue him.
Overall, he has no negative effect on my life and I don't know him personally so can't judge.
I bet he's a decent guy. If he wasn't, so many big companies from many different industries wouldn't want to work with him.

Jim, the reality is he may not be interesting to you, but for whatever reason, he is to quite a bit of other people. He has one of the fastest growing social network sites on the internet (if not the fastest?) He puts out free albums to DL and hundreds of thousands of people DL them. His last album sold over a million copies. People like him and are going to buy anything with his name on it.
None of us may ever no why but we should be smart enough to realize that money makes the world go around and not only will this game come out, but im sure it will sell. Hell, it might sell more than Okami, it will sell more than Lost Winds.
He will get tons of free promotion out of it as well, because people find him interesting.
Shit, people find Brittany Spears interesting too. Dont be shocked when the Brittany game is announced.
