Words cannot describe how badly I want to make fun of this game. It's the ultimate in posturing badassery, placing you in the role of rapper 50 Cent as he goes to the Middle East to perform and gets paid not with the almighty dollar, but a skull encrusted in diamonds. No, I'm not joking. It doesn't get much pimper than that, ladies and gents.
 
But hold your jokes, just for a second, and watch the video. As our own Nick Chester has commented, the first game wasn't half bad, and despite the thick-as-molasses attitude, this one looks pretty passable too. Add in the fact that you can pop a cap in people as a matter of course, and you might want to put down your pride and give it a spin. Maybe.

The game is only as good as the thing that keeps you interested in playing, which is the story (Gears of War blows).

Every time I see this game, I just feel sad since it just reminds me that the game they were developing with that engine is gone, because marketing motherfuckers came in and said "Stupid people bought 50 Cent game, we'll use this to push a sequel, because that's what sells, and fuck serious game development, money rules, cancel your plans and fork over the engine and assets".

I have to say this for Mr. 50, he does a damn fine job marketing his product. In all honesty, he knows his target market and exactly what they want. I never took him seriously as... well quite frankly anything, however I've come to respect his rather impressive and coercive skills at pushing his shoddy product.

I guess the game itself looks ok. The character animations look pretty awkward though.

Less and less every day, Fiddy Cent. Especially with the damn over-dramatic narration to that video. It's a game about punching, shooting, and blowing up people, not a review of the tormented soul of a down-on-his luck gangster from the streets who has to find the courage and the way to take on the world.

it will sell. But who knows, maybe, just maybe it wont suck... hard since the skull plot didnt work out for indiana jones. In this situation the skull has diamonds.

Ok, you know how when Boom Blox came out and everyone was joking about how little Steven Spielberg actually had to do with the game? Well I get the feeling that 50 Cent (or Cunt, as Jim suggested) is actually involved with this game's development on an intimate level.
