Why is it so difficult to just do a direct port? Talk about half a job. What exactly in the PC version would not "make sense" in the console version? And if the console version will remain limited in comparison to the PC version then what is the point?

It's already been confirmed that the version updates will be Title Updates so that everyone has them.
I've heard the split-screen requires everyone have a Gold account, which kills the only reason I can think of to buy the Xbox version.
Played the trial and I have to say if your into this time of game, it'll hook you.. I'm just having trouble justifying paying $20 for it when, traditionally, I don't really even like paying $15 for most XBLA games..

WHEN??!?! Never played minecraft before this (no pc) and wasn't even interested until I played the demo. I'm hooked. Haven't played anything else since I got it.
You don't need Gold for split screen, I've seen a video using two offline accounts, but you do have to have an HDTV for it.

No, you don't need multiple accounts to play splitscreen, I've done it myself. All you need is a HDTV.
Ok the biggest thing they need to add is the pistons i cant play with redstone without pistons it took so much redstone to build a digital clock it wasnt even funny.
