Nintendo had a Japanese press earlier
You'll be able to transfer your already purchased download software to 3DS. This includes DSi Ware games from DSi and DSi LL."
Thank God!!!
But, I'm and idiot and I still don't understand that wireless LAN access points (compatible with WPA/WPA2 IEEE802.11 security) thingy. Anyone care to explain?
Good luck with that.
thats totally not worth it knowing they'll do an updated version a year after launch like THEY ALWAYS DO
LOL no
If the Nintendo recent track record is anything to go by, I'm betting it is. I fact, I'd bet my 3DS fund on it at odds of 2 to 1 so I can get one my my little bros birthday as well as my own.
*Looks back at 3DS*
$300.00 USD...
*Shakes head in disbelief*
"We haven't made any kind of announcement at the moment, but the Nintendo DSi is available for around £129.99. The Nintendo DSi XL, with the larger screens, is around £159.99," he explains. "So obviously, it's going to fit, kind of, somewhere within that kind of architecture."
OK, so I guess I misunderstood how it was going to "fit" in that "architecture".
New way of seeing things = 3DS is a handheld with a price that you will pay to own it. Got it!!!
I hate to be bitchy about this, but DAMN; $300.00 is way too close to a half grand for my blood.
assuming you meant plasma tvs, the cheapest I found was 439 at walmart.com
However if you were referring to selling blood plasma, that may be the only way anyone can afford the 3ds at this vomit inducing price.
The free cookies and juice version. : )
RIGHT.
People were complaining that the PS3 didn't come with backwards compatibility for $300 but $300 for a little handheld device is a "great" price???
I will be skipping this 100% as I thought it would have been around $200 which I would have been fine with. No way in hell im dropping $300 plus tax, plus, not to mention the US to CDN exchange rate. I imagine this will be $349 in Canada......
*bites lower lip*
I'm hoping that PSP2 details will be released before the 3DS launch, so we can get a real comparison. Most likely, I'll wait until the end of 2011 before I make a decision.
I think Im with the wait a year crew on this one.
Could be a Sony type mistake to price it that high...especially in the spring.
The DS could only support WEP encryption, which is pretty insecure easily crackable in a lot of cases. WPA and WPA2 are way more secure. Those two encryption methods supported on 3DS means I no longer have to swap my wireless router from WPA2 to WEP if I want to take my handheld online.
tl;dr, WEP is insecure, the 3DS is joining the present in wireless encryption, yay.
Still not worth 300 in my book though.
That being said...I must have it on day one...or whenever the purple one is released. Release the purple!
