3D Dot Game Heroes is out in May and we're really, really looking forward to it. Anybody who isn't looking forward to it is a witch, and should be burned as such. Atlus has today released a new trailer, informing us that its game boasts the most interesting character in 3D. The video is absurd. That's a good thing.

Also, did nobody else get the reference to the Dos Equis 'Most interesting man in the World' ads? This seems to be a direct parody. I enjoy those ads, so I thought it was very clever.
Jim, I love your work and I love what you do but I think you're digging too deeply into this whole 'hate on one of the most popular JRPG of all time' thing. You've gone after the game in two completely unrelated articles in a row.
Other then that, carry on. This game looks pretty exciting and I'd love to play it.
ANYWAY
This is one of the reasons I got a PS3, the other being God of War 3. It looks freaking FANTASTIC.
It makes it that much more special when I realize I can play it.
Of course, if we're solely going on the basis of total games sold, then, yes it is one of the most popular JRPGs. This is like saying one should avoid criticizing the Ford Taurus since it's one of the most popular automobiles of all time. The Taurus is popular for much the same reason the most recent Final Fantasy game is, it feels safe to people because they recognize the name, and they're not familiar with just how much better some of the other options are.
Well I don't consider Jim a TROLL really, but perhaps if I use more CAPS then I'll see what you MEAN.

I'm not saying it's wrong for anyone to criticize Final Fantasy (I am no stranger to criticizing games that I regard as my all time favorites), but I'm just saying that Jim made two news posts (which were formally in a row before this news post was hidden and reposted at a later date) about completely separate games and made snarky comments about FF13 (though one of them was indirect) in both of them. I just felt that instead of having his opinion (which I agree with in many ways) and leaving it at that, he was sort of attacking the game unfairly.
If you want a good japanese rpg, then look no further than Mana Khemia. I'm not sure if I'm joking or not.
On topic though: I wish this was coming out on 360 so I could play it.

Actually, by technical definition, Zelda is a JRPG, it was made in Japan, and is an RPG, it might not necessairly fit into the nice cozy setting like PERSONA or FinalFantasy, but its still a JRPG
