360 Deals of the Week: San Andreas, Max Payne 2, Fable photo

You've got $10 burning a hole in your pocket, right? Why not use it to buy some last-gen classics on Xbox LIVE?

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Max Payne 2, and the original Fable are all 800 MS Points on Xbox LIVE right now. That's $10 a piece, which is half of their original price, and about 40 dollars cheaper than I spent on them when they were originally released.

Not bad deals if you ask me, considering -- at the very least -- both San Andreas and Fable can keep you busy for hours on top of hours. Max Payne 2 can be completed in one sitting, if you're feeling frisky... but did I mention it's only ten bucks?

Max Payne 2 was bloody fantastic. I played it on PC, but if the xbox version was as good, it's one of the best $10 you'll ever spend.

I bought Max Payne 2 preowned and it really hasn't aged that well imo, tempted to buy fable though.

I'm pretty sure I've seen all three of these games for $5 at gamespot recently? I bought fable for $4.

I already have San Andreas for PS2. I guess I might pick it up, but, from what I remember, there really aren't that many differences between the versions.

Does anyone know if this version of Fable includes the lost chapters?

Funny thing about the original Max Payne game, when I played it on the Xbox, it was censored alot compared to the PC version. Weird.

@Shadowii this version of fable does not include the lost chapters, as that was a seperate game disc, I still do not understand why they didn't use that version for XBL

@Nick

"That's $10 a piece, which is half of their original price"

I could be wrong, but I thought these games were "only" $15 normally (which would make them currently 2/3 of their original price)?

Yes, you're wrong. Nick was right. They were 1900 (or twenty bucks) each originally on here.

No, I'm not. GTA: San Andreas is normally only 1200 points, Fable is normally only 1200 points, and Max Payne 2 is normally only 1200 points, at least in the US.

And FYI, $20 is 1800 points, not 1900 (but I'm assuming that was just a typo).

learn some math before you go off on someone else. 10= 800 20=1600

@iluvalima

I know the math, but I didn't realize my typo until after I posted it (ironic, no?), at which point it was too late since my iPhone froze on me (again) when I tried to post another comment.

And where did I "go off" on him? He told me I was wrong, and I merely showed him I wasn't by backing it up with research. I thought I was at least nicer than he was about it, and certainly nicer than you were.

Really? "Max Payne 2" is my favorite game. I play it through completion every year or so, and I feel that no game has come close to how excellent and fun the shooting is in that game. The graphics are still pretty damn solid to boot.

Although you can probably find a copy at gamestop for $3 (I bought my copy years ago for $5), "Max Payne 2" is a solid deal for $10.

REALLY wish they'd add a few more Xbox Originals to buy... Good ones, not like some of the shit from some of their last updates. So many good games they could add and if they were ALL $10, I'd buy a few more of them.

If you haven't played GTA3-SA, it's defintely worth picking up. Far better than GTA4...more fun, less hassle from characters, better driving.
