So, was this additional money ($130) factored into the Microsoft flow chart where they compared total costs for all 3 systems regarding [motion control + console] start-up costs? IIRC, Microsoft was using the 4GB systems as their standard console...

I saw a 60GB HDD for the previous Xbox @ walmart today for $99. I laughed a good bit at the sad pain. At least people getting the 4GB Slim units, will only get screwed for $30 bucks to get +250GB.
The 500GB hard drive that I buy for my PS3 is way cheaper then the 250GB hard drive for the 360.

I doubt that will happen as MS will just ban anyone running an HDD that is not MS brand like that did before.

I wish that the old hard drives were compatible. a fear of mine is that my original white xbox will go bad and be out of warranty, because I put the 250GB hard drive on it a little bit before microsoft announced the new slim model.
don't they have usb support for a flash drive? i would just pick up a couple 8gb sticks or a 16 they are always on sale and beats the price microsoft is charging.
I'm seriously considering buying the 4gb version and this hard drive so I can get the new xbox with the matte finish. I hate gloss.
