120GB PS3 modding begins

7:43 PM on 11.10.2006   |   Fronz

Pretend it's one of those old black and white silent films, except it's not black and white:

Act One:

PS3 Act One

Act Two:

PS3 act 2

The Prestige:

PS3 Act Three

I wanna see it actully play a game, but a modded PS3 before the PS3 is even technically out it still sounds pretty sweetoid to me. You can see more pics of the process here if watching three act movies isn't your thing.

[Thanks Jakanden !]

Nice, altho the downside of doing this is that you will VOID your PS3 warrenty. :/

I don't think so, Sony intended for this to happen, so I highly doubt it'll void teh warranty.

Yea. I seem to remember them saying you could upgrade the hd.

Seems strange for Sony to pass up on such an easy revenue stream. If you think about the mainstream consumer (which I gather they will appeal to at some point in the future). They're going to want a slot in hard drive upgrade.

Still, thumbs up if this is there for the techy minded and doesn't get zapped in some arsebandit firmware update.
