12-year-old playing Sakura in SFIV TV ad, 16-year-olds deemed too elderly photo

I think this must be some sort of Japanese dream: A 16-year-old schoolgirl portrayed by a 12-year-old schoolgirl. In essence, the perfect crime.

It seems that Capcom couldn't find any 16-year-olds that looked child-like enough to play Sakura for the Street Fighter IV TV spot, so they are doing what many other Japanese businessmen do, and have turned to girls in puberty for the answer to their frustrations. I am joking of course, not everyone in Japan is a pedophile. Just all the adults.

Still, for all the light-hearted quasi-bigoted stereotyping I'm doing, I can't help but feel that least ten responses to this article will contain the word "delicious," and at least half of those comments will be sincere.

God, she must fell kinda of an idiot doing some of those poses, especially the first one.

Hope she gets paid well, or her parents, seriously, even 'professional' looking costumes of video game characters look kinda strange, oh well. :)

I saw this anime once where this schoolgirl became a prostitute to buy things she wanted by then she controlled a monster that slashed people up or some shit. Is this true? I was thinking about going to Japan but I don't want to get slashed up.

I don't think it's that big a deal, there is nothing sexual about it.
There is enough REAL pedophile running around without having to make some up.

And yeah thats a boy not a girl.

Obviously I'd tap that...and by tap that I mean tap her on the head for being so gosh darn cute, then continue with my day, safe in the knowledge that I have escaped a prison sentence once again.

This is why Destructoid is so much more awesome than Kotaku. At the latter site, writing a story comment akin to the views expressed in this article would get you banned. XD
