Maybe someone won't die sometime

If you can be certain of one thing for the upcoming Aban Hawkins & the 1,001 Spikes, it's that dying is an inevitability -- an inevitability that will happen time and time again. This trailer shows some of the ways that you can share your despair.

If you want to take a cooperative approach to the game, know that each death draws from a shared pool of lives, meaning that it's entirely possible to take the expedited route to failure. But, if you want to take advantage of your friends being terrible at 1001 Spikes, the competitive multiplayer might be the way to go.

Jonathan and Tony were able to play some Aban Hawkins & the 1001 Spikes at PAX Prime 2013, including testing out guest characters in the new cooperative mode. The original release on Xbox 360 was tremendously fun in that...
Well now, isn't that something? A handful of us here at Destructoid are pumped for Aban Hawkins & the 1001 Spikes, a Nicalis-published revamp of the brutal Xbox Live Indie Games platformer. It's a blast to watch as tensio...
We haven't heard anything from Nicalis about their forthcoming 3DS/Wii U/and-maybe-other-consoles title Aban Hawkins and the 1,001 Spikes in a while. That's probably because they've been busy with stuff like Ikachan, Guxt, Ra...
Aban Hawkins and 1,000 Spikes (by 8BitsFanatics) didn't get a fair shake. The game is better than 99% of the stuff on the Xbox Live Arcade marketplace, but sadly, that's not where it even ended up. Instead, it launched on XB...
Despite the oh-so-punishing nature of Aban Hawkins & the 1000 Spikes, it's still one of my favorite games to grace the Xbox Live Indie Games channel. Against all odds, the title is being reworked for release on both the 3...
