1 vs. 100 opening up for XBL Silver members this weekend photo

The oddly beloved trivia game 1 vs. 100 Live is going to be available to those with an Xbox LIVE Silver subscription once again starting this Friday and continuing through Sunday. However, this temporary offer only pertains to the US, UK, Canada, Germany, and France.

Besides the potential to land in the mob or become the one and win an XBLA game or MS Points, Microsoft is also holding a sweepstakes in the US and Canada. By simply playing either 1 vs 100 Live or 1 vs 100 Extended Play, you could win a Zune or a home theater system.

Using unscientific evidence and plenty of gossip, I have determined that in order to become the one, you must have a horrible track record for the game, a low Gamerscore, and your Avatar must be unusual. That way, you're guaranteed not to win and Microsoft has less free stuff to give away. It's true, isn't it Chris Cashman?

Oh for gods sake. I'm so sick of hearing about this game. Is there a single person on here that actually plays it? And if so, why? You must clearly own and Xbox 360 in order to play it, which begs the question of what could possibly possess you to decide that your time is better spent with this than any of the other six hundred games on the console.

I just don't get it is all...

The CHANCE of winning actual Microsoft Points and a free Arcade game.

Plus, it's fun with friends, for like 10 minutes.

I still play it. It is usually only on the live nights now. Get a group of friends together and play. It reminds me of trivia that they do at bars and restaurants.

Because you get FREE STUFF! But I hope Micro$oft doesn't make us pay to play this game.

Yeah, UglyDuck, about everyone on my friends list who is online when 1 vs. 100 starts up will switch over to that game. It can be fun as a "social game" with friends, as AgentBBJ said.
