1 vs. 100 beta could still be announced soon photo

You may have noticed that the announcement of a North American beta start date for Xbox LIVE Primetime title 1 vs. 100 never happened. There’s a reason for that. According to the probably official Twitter account for the game on May 21, “a few things” needed to be “in place” before the announcement could be made.

In a tweet yesterday, the guys behind the account reiterated the May 21 message. “Just to reiterate: we're waiting for a few things to be solidified before we're able to share the date. Hang tight.”

Don’t be surprised if you don’t hear the date until Microsoft’s E3 press conference. This delay doesn’t sound entirely related to technical issues.

I still find it odd how canada got a beta but the US is still nothing.

I don't care to much since I really hate avatars and this doesnt really appeal to me.

Glad canada got something for nce since like Europe they seemed to get screwed a bit to often when it comes to gaming

I have been playing the Canadian beta, it recently had an update that said contest open to Canada (not quebec) and the U.S.A. starting May 28th. Sorry if this is old news, but looks like it will be Live by E3 for sure.

I figured they needed to button down some things down before a beta anouncement. I imagine that MS has much riding on this....1vs100 has the potential to be something quite big and something that other console makers would be green with envy over. A virtual gameshow like this will take the Xbox Live experience to the next level allowing gamers to compete, comune and even root for one another. Pretty hot stuff....there will be many that initially scoff at this idea, but if done correctly this could significanly impact how we look at gaming communities.

@Wookie
I doubt it's actually him playing, but Big Bill does seem to be a nod at his celebrity...

Here's an idea, instead of sitting on your arse and Twittering about it, hows about puting a knife in these details and going foreword.

Maybe we'd have gone GOLD already.

Jus' a thought.

Hahaha! Dude, lighten up…do you own a 360? What’s with the hatred? It was the red ring, wasn’t it? Or maybe “Big Bill” touched you inappropriately when you were young…in any event, we get it…the 360 sucks and the news for it has been(will always be) miserable because MS' console presence should have died with the original Xbox.

Cool...then say that. I can actually understand that sentiment much more than snark dripping with malice. Maybe the game show wasn’t meant for tv and this venue may prove more appropriate. Plus, I want prizes….
