One of the hardest things about working here is trying to come up with catchy and fun stuff in a matter of seconds after getting a news tip. The process is like a combination of improvisational comedy, public relations, and journalism, and it's sometimes harder than it looks.
That's why I'm grateful to guys like Suda51. Within the first few minutes of his latest developer diary for No More Heroes 2, he's already spewed out at least a week's worth of fun headlines. "When it comes to No More Heroes" he says "I basically work like a bathroom toilet. I consume everything I see, everything I eat, and whatever I do, and then when I take a sh*t, everything comes out perfectly. Welcome to my toilet." Then his head explodes.
Thank you, Suda. My work here is done. Hit the jump to see this new head-exploding video for yourself, which includes tons of new game footage and spoiler-ish info on No More Heroes 2. I've placed it after jump due to some NSFW language.

Meet the rest of the team
Oop, I forgot to mention, I threw some screengrabs of the new characters and stuff that was only flashed for a second into the gallery.
And yeah, I'm already sure I'm going to love NMH2. There is a chance that the game will have some terrible game-breaking flaw and be painful to play, but even still, the ideas in the game are so fun that I can't help but love it.
I love No More Heroes. Almost every line in that game is quotable. I can't wait for the sequel, picking that up next Tuesday over Mass Effect 2, as my Xbox is broken =[
I wouldn't doubt that the "50 bosses" is going to boil down to like 10 major fights again. It's going to be something like a mega fight with 10-20 assassin's all rushing in at once.
Can't wait for Tuesday, too bad there are 0 pre-order bonuses.
Brrr...Hope all those damn yaoi girls are wrong. P.S. to Travis: Get a bedroom door, homeboy! You're not going anywhere; why not make some...modifications?
This is what I expect of stuff on a Nintendo system: wildly creative, fun, well thought out games. Haven't bought a game launch day (or weekend) for a long time but no way I am waiting to play this one!
Sorry for the double post but I just read your comment on my blog, and yes Holmes, my mind is an N.O. Portal directly into your news feed! Mwhaha! FLCL is great.
Despite what Suda 51 said, I really don't think the game will actually have 50 main bosses fights. The real number of bosses is probably between 13 - 20 but that's just an educated guess. Besides, according to IGN, the game is around 10 hours or so and IGN only encountered 2 major boss fights in the first 4 hours of the game.
As further proof, in the Sylvia Christel trailer, Sylvia tells Travis that he'll be fighting with "12 other participants." So far, there's at least 9-10 confirmed bosses that we know of. There's a couple of other characters that could be potential bosses but have not been confirmed as such. In addition, Suda said that you won't always fight bosses as 1 vs. 1 battles and I'm sure some of the bosses will end up fighting each other like what happened with Letz Shake and the Dark Star bosses in the first game.
Remember, just because the game may only be 10 hours is most likely due to the game ditching the overworld and mission structure which really just acted as a way for Grasshopper Manufacture to artificially lengthen the game. With the sequel getting rid of the overworld and having a much improved mission structure, the game's pacing and length should be expected to be shorter but better.
Note: Based on the game's trailers, Sylvia says Travis will face 12 opponents but apparently, Travis fights at least one extra boss before he talks to Sylvia at the beginning of the game.
PRECISELY what I needed to keep my hype starvation on NMH2 pulsing. Man, when this game is target-marketed, it is TARGET-MARKETED. Sadly, it doesn't seem like too many are actually paying attention. :/
In everything else I have faith in Suda, but I'm praying for two things...
1: Spruce up Darkside mode a little bit.
2: The OST will be available stateside so I don't have to import it from Play-Asia like the last one. If you've never taken the time, look up the music from NMH and Killer 7. GHM Sound Team is sick.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
@tripled153: Work for him? Hah! I'd let him screw me!
O.O ...Uh..uhm..I-I mean...Me, too. <.< >.>
In other words: I NEED THIS GAME!

"I'm gonna touch you down!"
"I feel like that pervy teacher in a porn"
"If you get me pregnant, promise not to ditch me, okay? "
Also, that was the best developer diary ever.

DAY ONE.

When did IGN ever say the game is 10 hours long?
Regardless of it's length, this game is a day one purchase.
