As announced today, Empire: Total War is getting an expansion of sorts in October. The new Steam-exclusive downloadable campaign, "Warpath," brings Native American factions into the fray and can currently be pre-purchased for $9.99.
Over on the official Total War site, there's a good revenge-driven trailer complete with bullet points of the new features this expansion contains, but I'm going to break them down here for the uninitiated.
"Warpath" brings Iroquois, Huron, Plains, Pueblo, and Cherokee as playable factions, Shaman and Scout units that each have their own unique ability, 18 new types of technology, and a few other things.
There are also new Elite units like the Cheyenne Dog Soldiers, which, like most things in this world, cannot be nearly as cool as what I'm picturing in my head.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Yeah, I wonder if it is cheap due to the distribution method, or just much smaller than previous expansions.
Personally I need to see what the patch does before I know if I want more ETW in my life.

Well seeing how Rome Total War: Alexander went for around 30 bucks and added much less than what this is promising I was just curious how these things are priced out.
On the flip-side the Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion expansion was practically a whole new game that went for 20-30 bucks.
