'Uncomfortable' Saw II hits shelves October 19 photo

Mark it on your calendars -- Konami has announced an October 19 launch for Saw II: Flesh and Blood for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Because one Saw game just wasn't enough.

Not surprisingly, the game hits shelves "just in time" for the release of the seventh (holy s**t!) Saw film, Saw VII 3D. To go along with the release date announcement, Konami has also release a slew of concept images for the title, which shows off some of the title's puzzle traps, including "The Crusher" and "The Rammer." The traps, unsurprisingly, are designed to make you crap your pants.

"Just the silhouette of the character in the trap had to make the viewer uncomfortable," said producer John Williamson. "You had to know instantly that something bad was going to happen to this person if you didn’t get them out."

Go on, take a gander. Scared yet?

The really scary thing is that the first game got a sequel.

It's hard to believe there are enough sick fucks in this world that the Saw franchise can actually become popular. "derp that guy is getting hurt lol"

I'm sure this appeals to someone out there, but not me.

gore hasn't been shocking since racism was the next big shocking thing. now that's not even shocking anymore since incest took over a few years back. But even incest is getting edged out by your parents dying of cancer.

the internet makes nothing shocking anymore.

It's hard to believe there are enough retarded fucks on the internet that apparently do not comprehend the appeal of the horror/survival horror genre. Oh wait, it isn't. It's the internet, durr.

I'm a fan of the series although some of the later movies are rather lacking, tbh. I also thought that Konami did a decent job with Saw. It was on par with Homecoming in certain aspects if not most, but then again that game was one of the worst in the Silent Hill series so that's not saying much.

If Saw 2 improves on the puzzles, traps, and combat system, plus keeps the achieves at a decent difficulty like the first game then I'll be checking this one out as well.

Not scared but I do want it. The first one was actually pretty good for what it was.

Haters gonna do what they do though.

I can comprehend it; it just isn't appealing to me.

@Onyx Oblivion

The really scary thing is that the first movie got a sequel. I will never forget how my entire theater was laughing at the abysmal acting and ludicrous plot (only time I've ever experienced that).

I think was way better than Homecoming.

One thing that NEEDS to happen, is the the people you find in the traps. If they die, then you dont get to save them again and this should affect the ending. Would make the saving of them mean something at least.

So many good game coming out in the next few weeks, I hate this time of year.

Were at seven already? The Saw movies went downhill after ... well, after the first one.

@timtheterrible:

If the comment apply to you then disregard. I was actually mocking MRLN's comment.

@smang:

Another relevant and thought provoking comment. A wonderful contribution to the topic at hand, eh? I shouldn't have to baby sit you and tell you that you're the one who's hating here, little man.

@Themightylebeau2009:

That's possibly due to the fact that Homecoming was a far cry from the other games that we're used to in the series and Saw was a decent first attempt, more so since it's a movie based game.

The first one was well, pretty lame. I played it. But the other thing is the producer states "You had to know instantly that something bad was going to happen to this person if you didn’t get them out." Out of what?, a spiked mask that locks the persons hands behind their back. OOOHHH scarrrryy. The spikes are outward, and some what look like small spikes are inward making small puncture wounds-not inflicting much harm on the wearer, and the arms behind the back, yeah, wow. I better get the guy out, he looks uncomfortable! No device, no mechanism to see something happen to the wearer, HOW DUMB! I could come up with better devices. Sorry. I am just getting sick of SAW. Just a way to exploit the fans, if there are even still any left.

I've seen every Saw movie in the theater, simply because I didn't want to ruin my perfect record after the first three.

But VII?

This one... this one's gonna be difficult.

Believe it or not my GF and I like Saw, it's the twists and puzzle stuff that is neat. We still have to watch 6....

I kinda want Saw after I read about it being based around puzzles and what not and not tapping O to unlock something.

I still find enjoyment in these movies. The last one wasn't so good, but it had some moments of interest.

As for the game, it was fun for what it was. It made me want to watch the 6th film after playing it.

The first game was surprisingly good, hopefully this one will be able to fix some of the combat issues.

At this point I just really hope that there are more saw movies just so they run out of ideas and we get Jigsaw in space.
