Quantcast

The UPS fairy dropped off a present at my door this morning: The Art of Dead Space, a 97 page art book written and illustrated by the game's development team.

It's a fairly solid and hot looking book, with early concept art, weapon and equipment schematics from the game's universe, and some art from the Dead Space comic book. Also included is a set of 3D glasses to be used with the 10 pages of 3D art; I don't know what the hell a Necromorph is, but it scared the crap out of me in 3D.

Electronic Arts say that the book is a $10 value, but you can pick it up with any Dead Space pre-order at GameStop, Best Buy, GameCrazy, or the online EA Store.

They don't get to choose the length of those brown shorts. It's a little rude to call him a fairy because of it.

i shudder to think what the concept art looks like, if the book was illustrated by the dev team..

I agree with Ron.

Destructoid just ain't what it used to be.

It's funny, Ron even knew that Destructoid would give Too Human a rating of 2.

How legit does that even make that score?

He must have heard who was reviewing it.

I was a long time lurker.

I liked what I saw back in "the day."

And now Destructoid has become just another video game news blogging site.

What you see here you will find in many other sites.

It all depends who copies who's "scoops" first.

Sad.

As far as I'm concerned, 3d never went out of style. This is awesome!

I hate the UPS fairy. Yesterday he busted up my doorbell and left me an InfoNotice as if it's my fault.

I was given this book for free by the EA guys at Collectormania! :)

They had this guy in the character suit in a dark room where you're watching the trailer and he bursts out of a door and tries to scare you. :D

It was so funny I almost cracked a smile. Almost.

It is a nice book though.
