Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D is going to be included in a future 3DS bundle in Japan, but it was unclear whether there'd be anything special about the hardware. According to game director Hideo Kojima, it'll be quite special indeed.
The above photo is a glimpse of the "snakeskin" 3DS that will arrive to accompany Snake Eater 3D when it finally launches next year. No word on whether this will stay in Japan or cross the oceans, but it's pretty cool regardless. Apparently it's the world's first embossed snake pattern videogame system. Quite an achievement!
Now we just need a furry one and one that glows in the dark.

I got a black case. I had to spend a month writing to Nintendo in order to get someone that would correct this problem. Eventually, I did get my son his green DS back, but it was really a pain in the ass. If Nintendo is going to make specialty cases they should fully support the repair and return of these cases.
The gentleman that finally corrected the mistake told me they would alter their procedures when dealing with specialty/rare color cases. I hope they have changed their policy towards this issue, but I would not be willing to take that chance again.

Anyway its nice but that furry idea would be the only thing to make me swap my own 3ds for another.
Either way, because of a skin condition I have I just had a hell of a time trying to get my black one clean last night and I have it in a cover/armor/grip... thing... so i can't imagine how much harder it'll be to clean that thing if it attracts dirt and stuff like the normal textured 3ds' do.
