You can't keep a good console down, unless it's the Dreamcast of course. The United Kingdom is getting to relive the glory days with a brand new Sega Mega Drive. Well, a "Blaze" Mega Drive, to be more precise. The console has been given a sleek redesign and comes with 15 games including Sonic the Hedgehog and *sigh* Altered Beast, already built into the machine.
The great news, however, is that the console also plays all your old cartridges, provided they haven't been flogged off at car boot sales yet. It's also multiregion, meaning that the cartridges you bought from car boot sales will now work. Hurrah!
The console will retail for around £39.99 and launches on April 24.

Too bad the controllers weren't wireless.
40 bucks for a new genesis and a pile o built in games seems like a very reasonable price and I would consider buying one if mine broke
...if my MegaDrive didn't work. But it does, and is far better than that nasty-childhood-destroying redesign.
...but now that I see that it has the potential to play more than those 15 games, I'll well stoked for buying a few Mega Drive carts... :OD
